A Dog's Growl.

Tonight, I went to bed early, which is really unusual for me, I retired for the night by 2315hrs and to be fair, after two nights without sleep I was about due.

However, life is my master, and fate played a different hand, my Dogs, sleep in the boot room, and never ever go upstairs even to the first floor let alone to our rooms. So imagine the shock of waking to see Keats a cross between a German Shepherd (Alsation) and a rottweiler growling an inch from my face, every few seconds letting out a deep bark, to be honest I nearly shit myself, the first thought was my had turned, but waking fully I realised that far from it, he was their to alert me.

My dogs are trained with love, with large dogs you have to be Alpha to them, be boss, be consistent, firm and fair, my dogs have self respect and respect for each other, and respect for us their extended family.

I slipped my Jeans and T-shirt on, and has I descended the stairs, Keats stayed with me, in fact, he was awkward on the stairs but he is not use to them. As I start the final flight of six flights from the top of the house, I paused on the final half-landing, Shakespeare and Wordsworth were sitting majestic at the bottom of the stairs standing guard, maybe to see if Keats was in trouble.

On reaching terra firma, Keats shot through the hall and anteroom to the main doors, doors he has never used in his life, I look at the camera and could see nothing, but as I flicked through the screens, I caught sight of two chaps, as the screens continued to change I saw headlights, Dave driving up from the gatehouse, Sam's lights were on over the garage, and Eric was now behind me in the house, As I opened the front door I could here my wife on the phone to the police and the dogs were off and running, within seconds, the dogs had pinned these two lads down, second later the police helicopter was overhead. (Thank you, Boys)

It was a sight to behold two lads pinned down by three dogs, Dave, Sam, Eric and Me standing around watching, the whole scene illuminated by a mega light in the sky from the helicopter, the two lads had a large pair of bolt croppers, and my ten year old 's motocross bike.

Around five minutes later two police cars pulled up and after I called my dogs off and put them all on leads that Sara had brought out to me, went in and arrested the lads giving them the caution required by PACE, they were put in the backs of the two cars.

The older policeman, said "We will make sure they get bail quickly, the sooner they are out on the streets saying how quick and how they got caught, the safer you will be"

Who would have thought even a cloud like this has a silver lining.

UK Abortion Rates

Today I read the news that the number of girls having abortions rose to 4376 in the category, only 1% of these was because of a medical risk.

Medical abortions, which use drugs rather than surgery, accounted for 35 percent of the total.

The vast majority of the abortions, 90 percent, were carried out at under 13 weeks gestation, with 70 percent at under 10 weeks.

It seem hard to believe in these days of contreception the rates are that high, and harder still is the risk of sexually transmitted disease by not using a condom.

One girl, at just 14 was on her third abortion, and she claimed her parents do not about any of them because "the school and Doctors are not allowed to tell them" but when she was chewing gum in school, they wrote home, her words and informed her parents. She also said I quote "I ain't no slag, I ain't done it with more than 10 boys my whole life" No more than Ten for Christ sake it was illegal with one.

The cost both financial and emotionally is to much for a nation, we are storing up trouble.

Yes, I was young when i first had sex, but I bloody kept in covered.

The Thinks That I Think
by thinkicanithink2

Since I joined in February 2007, I have met three people from the site, had sex with one, given money to two (Not for Sex and it was not asked for, and I have met neither of them), had five blog friends leave, had one leave and come back.

I have had cybersex with two, telephone sex with one. I have recognise one member when out (I didn't approach them, although they confirmed later by email that they were in B & Q when I thought I saw them there.

I have only sent my picture to two people and only had four sent to me. I have only receive three nasty emails, two very sad ones from narrow minded idiots.

I have two people that think I am evil for cheating on my wife, and three that think my solution is sensible.

I have a number of intelligent conversations, and exchanges of comments with great people.

I thank you all for your writings, I thank you all for your time.

Regards

JK

All my yesterdays, well at least one anyway

Yesterday, was Fathers Day, so I was awaken by my youngest two jumping up and down shouting, as my eyes opened he started singing happy birthday only to be stopped by the ten year old knocking him off the bed, tears followed, and then he said "sorry Daddy, I thought it was your birthday" we the reassurance that all was fine, my cards were laid out before me as I opened them, each had a message or a drawing to look at and take in.

my wife has the patience of a saint, of course I always open the ones from my boys first, one each, then one from the youngest pair, one from the eldest pair and finally one from them all, after that I have the one from my wife, then the eleven from my godchildren and this year 16 from of my staff.

My study looks like a branch of Clinton cards, and tonight, I am going to write my thank you notes, today, I brought 30 £10 book vouchers from Waterstones Books.

It is the most wonderful feeling to be appreciated, however yesterday, was tinged with sadness, I still miss my own Dad so much, I really hope and pray he knew in his lifetime how much I loved and admired him. I also hope that whilst he watches over me, that he continues to know how proud I am of who he was, what he stood for and what he taught me and the values he instilled in me.

Last night, I spent a wonderful night in the Gold Circle area of Southampton's St. Mary's Stadium, the company was wonderful, the show was great.

We got to Southampton, around 11am booked into the hotel and went for a walk around returning to our room around 12.30 and enjoyed a quickie, followed by a shower then a little oral each way before smiling our way down for lunch about 10 to 2, getting served just before the 2pm cut off.

Returning to the the room by I guess 3 o'clock, we settle into having a little more fun, slightly more active before falling asleep in each others arms, at a quarter to six my watch alarm went off, and we were showered dressed and at the stadium by quarter to seven.

Our view was great, and the Gold circle was not packed completely, the show was awesome, the energy of Jon, the showmanship and the audio visuals was excellent.

Of course I can mention none of this at home, I am taking my wife to Twickenham on the 27th June for the London show.

But Karen had great fun and loved it, this morning she woke me, gently sucking and kissing my morning wood, and just as I woke slide a condom on me and sat astride me and made love to me.

I actually felt totally relaxed, and really did unwind. When a got back to the hotel from my meeting in Portsmouth, to collect our stuff, housekeeping had already been in, so we had a finally bit of passion on the floor.

I drove home arrive just after midnight but still feel relaxed, I needed the break. Speak soon.

I am going to apologise no more for disappearing again, he seems like every time I get back to this site and start catching up I say sorry for being missing and events transpire which keep me away.

All i will say, is I try and log on and look now and then, also I do miss those I have communicated with, but I know many of my watchers have got fed up and moved on to pastures new, in fact 50% have drifted away, and my figure is back to where is was a couple of months after I started bloging.

Since my last post I have spent time in three countries, two of which I would go back to happily, the third was like hell on earth, to those still there God Bless, I wish you all well, and Sally, if I had Balls like you, well enough said, but lady your bravery is unbelievable. Hope to see you in Blighty soon.

Coming home was great, my family were at Heathrow to greet me, travelling is so common to me, it is not something that has happened to me before, having my whole family meet me. I spent the last two days at home, and it has been wonderful. Today, my first day back at the office, Karen took care of an immediate need and made me feel truly welcome, she is a very special lady.

I will catch up on my sea of orange, and post comments, some are going to be a bit late but I will get there.

To those still reading this, thank you.

Love JK

What a lovely week it has been the weather has been kind.

Tonight, I have been sitting outside a country pub over looking a canal, and have just got in at twenty past midnight and it is still warm.

In fact when I left the pub at mid-night I was one of many that was still sitting there in T-shirt and shorts, I have had nice conversation, a great chicken korma, and great company.

I have about a hours worth of paperwork to do and then it is time for bed.

I hope everybody else had a good day too, and best wishes for the weekend.

The good news is that I am smiling, the really good news is my is smiling too.

Today, I got the phonecall that we all dread,
"Dad, I have smashed my car"
"Are you alright, was anybody hurt"
"I'm fine, the tree lost a bit of bark"
"Can you pick me up"

So I went out, and there he was, sitting on a farmers fence, his car had gone through the fence and hit a tree, it was plain to see, too fast on a corner, wrong gear and well, bang - touch wood he did not have a mark on him, not even from the airbag.

The farmer was seeking insurance details, but was more than happy to have his fencing contractor out there and then to repair the damage and accept £250 for his inconvenience, no cheque, cash only.

The recovery truck, came and wanted the insurance details for billing purposes but was more than happy to take cash and he picked up the car, and that is now at the main dealer, they said "As soon as the assessors come out from the insurers and give the go ahead, they will get on with it" I told them I would be paying, so the estimator priced it there and then, I paid a third as a deposit on my debit card, and the car was going to be straightened and the parts ordered.

For the first time is years, Cash was king, the recovery company said Insurers pay him on a 90 day cycle, the Farmer said, that, he has three claims going through at the moment but the last one he got paid for, took 3 days off a year, and the garage said that they get pay on average 120 after invoice.

With these extended invoice payment times, it is easy to see why when firms fail, their debts are so big.

Times are hard, but cashflow is all important, we all have a duty, to pay our bills on time where we can afford, and minimise the damage to others.

I am so pleased my is OK, I brought him a ex-demo VW Golf today, and the dealers turned it around in under three hours, servicing it, valeting it and delivering it, so he can get to college tomorrow. I will sell the Polo as soon as it is repaired, but for now, I will enjoy the Tea he has just made me, it is nice to know he appreciates it, and his Girlfriend gave me a kiss on the cheek, and said she loves the new car, having five doors instead of three, much easier to get in the back, it wasn't till I said "oh really" did she go completely red and stuttered "when we are taking friends out"

Screw Them

Today, I got the letter from the Administrator of a company that owes me money, and which I have a forward order book with, and has caused 18 of my staff to reassigned to other tasks, stating that he is not going forward with my offer, and is giving preferred bidding status to three other company all of which have plans to lay off some of the workers and one of which plans to keep just the name.

There also say if these negotiations fail to materialise to a satisfactory outcome they will come back to me.

Well, screw them, if they can't be bothered to accept all offers and review them then shame on them, mine was properly funded and costed, and was going to save all the jobs bar the directors.

Coming back to me cuts no ice, I have moved on.

This week in Nottingham, a well respected and long running building firm has shut with the cost of 85 jobs, these are direct jobs, but the knock-on effect is going to be greater, as a sub-contractor, I had 18 staff assign this company, since Monday, I have had to assign them to other work, two came in to tidy a tidy workshop, four came in to tidy a tidy storeroom, and two are trawling though tender documents, the others have been allocated to other sites, which will just cause them to finish earlier.

The stark choice is that I lay them off, causing more misery (Ain't going to happen), I find more work and quickly, but even if I tender today, it could be six - eight months before the project starts, or I go to the bank, borrow money, buy the builder, and salvage what I can - if they truly have no money then I will lose around £180,000 in materials and £112,311 I have pay my staff in wages for those projects in the last eight weeks plus their benefits, running the cars and vans, etc. That means with lost of profit and with on-costs, cost of financing etc - it is likely to be £500,000 in one go lost, at the 16% margin I work at, I need to find £3.6 million of work to recover my position.

Everybody, needs to look around themselves, at work and a home, can you switch something off to save energy and money, when making notes can you use both sides of the paper, it is all these small things that might mean the difference between survival or unemployment. No Boss, wants to seem so mean, and many, and I have spoke to them are feeling the strain, business is suffering its highest costs for fuel, our vehicles are heavily taxed at the end of this month I have six tractor units to tax at £1,350.00 each, and everytime they are filled up each takes just over £700 worth of diesel. so imagine the saving if my drivers were slightly lighter on their left foot, and saved just 1%, over a year it would make a difference.

Today, I have been back to school, the Seventeenth Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations are out, and I have to update myself and my staff.

Today, 48 of us packed in to a class to be taught, and 45 are serving Electricians, and two were managers and me, so, of course, the laugh is for them to catch me out so I have been revising hard.

Well, the good news is I passed, and I have my certificate to prove it, the even better news is so did everyone else, it is half four and Sunday morning and I have just walked in after treating my 32 male classmates and 15 female ones, plus their spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends, friends and family to a night in the club.

The bonding that has occurred is great and one fairly new staff member when pissed said, so many of your staff like you, but I just couldn't see it, to me you have always come across as a pompous arse, so aloof, but in fact you are not so bad, because it is not being pompous, it is confidence.

So I guess with feedback like that, I am going to have to learn from it and see if I can project myself differently, but I can help thinking how worried he might feel when he wakes up in the morning knowing what he said, but he is safe enough, I do not hold grudges.

Must sleep now, I have my beloved Formula One to watch later.

Mortgage Misery

One of my staff brought a letter to me today for advice, his fixed rate deal ends this month, and his payments go from £420.08 to £645.70 a month.

To get out of the mortgage deal, it is going to cost him a penalty of over £4000, so he is going to be better off paying the higher rate for 17 months and spend the £4000 that way than change now, but his wife insists on changing now to save being conned.

No matter what I said to her on the phone she feels she is right. If they change now, the deal is not going to be good, and the fees on top are going to be between £599 and £1799 depending on lender.

I think the situation is such that to save my staff long term problems, I need to think about financing houses for them, and stopping the payments from their salary. I have a young couple that even on the good wages (and there are good) can not afford to buy a house in the village they where both brought up in. The biggest loan they can get is £170,000, they have savings of £6,000 and the cheapest house (2 bedroom) is £249,500.

The same house type is available to rent at £831 per calender month, what options are left for young people.

The housing market is getting tough for everyone, a builder we do work for, has cancelled two project already a 60 home one and a 106 home one, of course, he will give the land till things pick up so nobody will build there.
