Well, I had my first date from Affairlook, and it was certainly an eye-opener.
We had a lovely evening, sitting at a table in a pub's beer garden, right next to the river. We chatted all evening about our lives, the universe and everything. It was great, and I was really getting to like her.
The evening was drawing to a close, and she popped to the toilet. I think the best way to described what happened is that Dr Jeckyll went to the toilet, and Mr Hyde came back.
Suddenly, this lovely evening turned into a scene from Fatal Attraction. She started calling me names, trying to give me insane intelligence tests, exclaiming all kinds of outlandish things about her life and the people she knew, threatening me, and at one point I even thought she was going to glass me.
I was in a daze, thinking, "What the hell has just happened here? Have I stepped into the Twilight Zone or something?"
I was actually a little bit scared of her; I wanted to get away from there as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately, my manners kicked in, so I thanked her for a pleasant evening, sorry it didn't work out, would you like me to drive you home?
"No thanks, I'll get a cab," she replied.
They were the sweetest words I've heard in a long time.
So, I said goodbye and walked away. I got into my car and drove home, thinking, "What the hell just happened!"
