I have been a member here for a long time now (sometimes as a paying member, sometimes not.) I've had lots of network friends come and go, chatted with some very nice people, and even met a few face-2-face. However, I have only had one "hook up." Well, to be completely honest 2, but the second I did not meet on here, it just turned out she had a profile on here too.
It seems the only thing I ever hear about meetings is either that the other person had totally lied, and made themselves out to be Mr. and/or Mrs. Wonderful, or they are all bark bark and no bite. I know that people (apparently this includes me,) are a lot more likely to say something when things don't go they way had hoped, than when they do. It also seems every profile you read has some kind of disclaimer, or qualifying statement like, "I will only reply to emails that..." or "read profile before replying."
So my question to you is this: Are these the same results everyone gets from this site? Are there actually people that join this site and consider the experience "worth while," and/or a success?
