IM CHAT/VIDEO FILTERING

A number of people (especially men) seem to be concerned as to who may be viewing or contacting them. There are 2 areas of the chat where the "unwanted" can be filtered out. The first is in the main window just under WHO'S ONLINE. If you click on the filter, you can choose the gender(s) and ages. Then people not in these categories will not show up. There is a similar FILTER in the VIDEO CAM section which prevents the from viewing you. So, unless you make the effort to set the filters, don't be anoyed that you may be viewed by someone you'd rather not.

Also, a lot of the profiles (especially men's) are very confusing. All thoughout indicates that they are strictly straight and want women only - but in the "looking for" Men are listed. Also, a number who are looking for men, the compatibility indicates wrong gender. So, it might be worth it to check you profile settings more closely.

However, just the fact that you are doing such things on cam online indicates a bit of exhibitionism. So what's the big deal who's watching. Also, I've had a few pleasant accidental encounters although our profiles were supposedly very incompatible; and if the filters were in place there would have been no connection or interaction. Although the main purpose of the site is to make sexual connections, nonsexual friendships could arise, as well. You might be pleasantly surprised.

There's a safety net in cyberspace interactions because there is no real person contact or interaction. That's the main problem with most of these sites - the majority only want cyberspace interaction and not person to person.
