What does relationship mean?
Yeah, Yeah, I know what the dictionary says. But I believe that a relationship starts at the very first contact between two or more people. No matter the final outcome of the relationship, it begins early.
Guess I've facilitated 7 Habits of Highly Effective People too long. LOL. In Dr Steve Coveys book, he says that an emotional bank account is started at our first meeting. If you think about, it does. Your emails make an impression and very well could be the beginning of a relationship.
I know most of you think a relationship is something long term. That's why you put in your profile, "Not looking for a relationship." If you have sex with someone, sorry to say it's too late. That relationship happened. It doesn't have to grow or get any better, but it still happened.
We have learned to except the fact that relationships do happen, especially when we meet. Whether it be at party, in a hotel room, or one of our homes. No matter if we have sex or not, a relationship happens. It's up to us to see how good that relationship's emotional bank account will be. In every relationship there will deposits and withdrawls.
So I hope that everyone understands we are looking for relationships. Not all of our relationships grow very big, but some do. We have met several people for the purpose of having sex with them and that was it. In all of those experiences, small deposits were made. (We've never had a bad experience in the lifestyle). Even with the one time good deal. But we have met a lot more people that have become our friends where large deposits are made in ours and their emotional bank accouts. We can say without a doubt that sex with our friends is the best.
We know that with a large emotional bank accounts, when small withdrawls happens, it doesn't really hurt the overall account or relationship. Understanding these things is why we have been very happily married for so long.
Okay, with all that said, does anyone want to start a relationship? LOL.
