The overall space was dark, there was glowing blue light that traced the edges of the walls. There were five to seven lounge style tables and a row of five to eight stools at the bar. There was a small group sitting at the bar with about four women sitting at different tables in the lounge. I made my way past the bar and sat in the lounge greeting, everyone in Japanese.
In the lounge there were two women sitting on the opposite sides; I sat across from them, and again introduced myself. They told me almost immediately that they were not at the club for sex. They laughed at the shocked on my face, we traded my translator back and forth until I fully understood them. They weren't here for sex, they were here for Shibari. (Japanese rope bondage)
My anime concepts of alien tentacles sex overwhelmed my imagination . I stated that I would never hurt a women and started to rise to leave. The women to my left (Maki) touched my arm and told me I misunderstood. Again the translators flew back and forth; they both shared their concepts of Shibari. For Maki the constriction was it's self a form release; that she so trusted her partner and her skill she never worried about being in danger or being hurt. For Kaori it was darker; she liked pain and didn't care what others thought. I wasn't sold on the pleasure and pain concept, but when Maki pulled out some ropes I knew I was in for something completely new.
Maki extended her leg out. She doubled the rope into a three sections and wrapped it around her leg. Her speed and positioning at the table was amazing. She offered me the looped end and asked me to lift it. I could see a slight tighten of the woven threads around her calf, but knots mostly held in place. Maki grinned and asked if I understood. As I placed her leg down she stood up, placed her hand in mine and led me to the play rooms.

Happening Bar
In Japan lifestyle or swinger's clubs are called "Happening Bars". They're very underground, most don't have signage; all have "member interviews" before you can enter. Now finding Nippon home,and finding a "Happening Bar" friendly to foreigners I had to give it a try. My Japanese level is basic, so with my trusty translator in one pocket, condoms in the other; I made my way to Shinjuku. After help from a "catcher" (guy who get kick backs bringing customers to rub & tugs) and with promises to visit his shop later, I was standing in front the underground staircase leading to my Happening Bar. I followed a dim green light down the narrowing passage to a solid steel gun black door, the darkness almost concealing the motion camera positioned over the doorbell. Inside I was given the house rules, with cell & camera restrictions written in Japanese & English; I was given my membership card and was finally in! Like with homes in Japan, shoes came off and slippers came on. The play rooms where modern and sleek. Rooms had double mirrors for the voyeurs set, with special mirrors positioned floor level( just in case one wanted to lay down while watching a show, there were even pillows) After my walk through was finished; it was time to mingle.
