Yes, we may be a month into it, but the weather has been so bipolar that it has not yet felt like spring has fully arrived. We are so close to May already that its finally feeling like spring. I've been working to get out and about more, taking up some running in prep for my first 5k race in a week. Who would have thought I'd be running, and on purpose? If you would have asked me that a year ago, I would have laughed at the thought, now I am looking forward to it. Maybe I'll have more to look forward too as well.

Winter is coming to a close, but you wouldn't know it the last few days. They say that warmer weather is coming soon, it can't come soon enough if you ask me. But March is when we celebrate St. Patty's day, the annual drunken festival of college pretending to be Irish for the day in hopes of getting lucky...

New year, new me?

One thing I have been dealing with the past year+ is dealing with recovering from back surgery back in 2013. It kept me from getting out and doing more things, and caused my weight to shoot up higher than I liked. With my grandma's passing this past summer, I came to a realization that I need to make changes to my lifestyle to become healthier, and hopefully happier. I joined a gym, and started watching what I eat and cooking healthier foods. I am 6 months in now, and happy to say I have lost 50 pounds so far, and am feeling much better overall. I feel like I have more energy and have had less back-related problems so far. Maybe this will have a positive effect on my self esteem and help me to find some friends and fun along the way as well. So with the new year, here's hoping to a new me

I can't believe 2014 is already gone. Its like it was in fast-forward the entire time. But I have to say I am happy with how 2015 will begin. I am making changes in my life, working on making myself healthier and happier. Hopefully I'll find someone to have fun with as well

Well one year ends and another one begins. It has been an interesting few weeks, I ended up letting a friend stay with me who lost their home. Although its been nice having someone around, I do hope for their sake they can find something more permanent soon. Maybe this is what I've needed to get things turned around for myself as well.

Well at least thats what everyone says the Mayan calendar may lead to. Its just another December, time to celebrate with friends and family, make new friends, and see where this ride called life goes after 12/21/12.
p.s. If the world does end 12/21/12, I'll buy ya a beer in Nirvana lol

2 more months to go in 2012, this year has been flying by. Lots to do yet, and not much time to get it done. Fortunately there hasn't been much cold rain so far, but the snow is just around the corner, and honestly for once I can't wait for the snow! I know I'm weird, but I really am looking forward to it this year.

Man, its already a few days into October... its getting a bit chilly outside, probably because the Vikes are at the top of the NFC North (I , I , but seriously who would have thought that after last year?) Anyway, the last quarter of the year has started, and it seems like 2012 has been flying by for me. Hopefully I can make the most of whats left of this year (because who knows if there will be a 12/22/12 right?  )

Its hard to believe the year is flying by so fast, almost halfway through and things don't seem to be slowing down any. Just have to make sure to take time to have a little fun.
