You want a blog post? Fine. Let's discuss something that has been bugging me for the past few days...
It is high time someone breaks the news to the million users of TInder that the app is not now, nor has it ever been, a "Dating App." Tinder is, as it was always created to be, a hook-up app.
It is bad enough that no one, in general, reads the majority of the profiles on Tinder anyway, but to then hear the whines and cries of users lamenting that no one respect the "no hook ups" and the "not DTF" that is clearly written on their profile.
I hate to break it to you. No one respects it because no one believes it. No one in their right mind believes that any person, given the right timing, situation and appropriate hotness of the person contacting them, is not perfectly capable of dropping trou and getting off at a moments notice.
If you are on Tinder and treating it like a dating app, then you are playing by a set of rules that is irrelevant to the app and every other user of the same app as you. Not one person on that app is beholden to respecting a set of rules created by and followed by only you.
Tinder is a hook-up app. Always has been, and it will always remain true to itself. Even when it's users aren't.

3 days alone. Wife is out of town visiting friends. Got the place to myself.
I send out a bunch of feelers. Make myself available for all kinds of fun.
Nothing.
The day she comes back, my inbox is full. Every message I sent out...responded to...most with an offer of fun.
It's uncanny.
