Age Differences

Had an interesting afternoon. A friend called and asked for a ride to the grocery store and I went and got him. When he came out of his apartment he was accompanied by a young fella who was about 6'3" and quite handsome. I found out that it was my friend's 19 yo nephew who was visiting and was coming along on the ride just to get out of the apartment.

We talked a bit on the way and I discovered that the young fella considered himself bi, just like his uncle. I parked at the side of the building and my friend and I went in to pick up a few items, while the young lad stayed in the van.

Looking for Ottawa Nudist Club

A friend of mine suggested we go join a nudist club. Somewhere we could relax in the outfits nature provided (mine needs to be ironed) and not have to worry about being caught naked.

Unfortunately I am not aware of any such clubs in the Ottawa area. There is the bathhouse, but I consider that more of a pick-up join and 'play pen' ... definately not relaxing.

As a follow-up to my last post (poll) I was surprised to come home from work yesterday and see both of the men we had in for Thanksgiving diner sitting on my front steps.

Once again they were thanking us for our hospitality and "for treating them like real people" and they wanted to show some appreciation. Between the two of them, they mowed my yard, weeded the gardens and did a general cleanup of the yard.

Gives you a nice warm feeling inside ...

Help the Homeless

We celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday, yes we're Canadian , I brought home two homeless fellas to give them a good meal. At first my wife was horrified, but after I let them both take showers and I dug into my closet to give them each some clean clothing (my wife threw theirs into the wash and put them in bags for them) she started talking to them and realized they are just 2 regular guys who are down on their luck. We had a great meal and they left with a full belly and a bag of left overs and I hope feeling a bit better about themselves.

Would you open your doors to a homeless person (man, woman, youth)?
Yes - I think it is a great way to pay-back some of my good fortune.
Yes - But only if they were screened first (maybe through a local community program)

Service for Shut-ins

I had a call from an aquaintance I met several years ago. Turns out his partner died last year and he has a hard time getting around. He asked if I would like to drop in for a coffee if I had the time. I wasn't doing much at the time so I poppped over for a short visit.

He now lives alone in a fairly large home, but has no family or friends that visit, so he was just looking for someone he could talk to face-to-face. The conversation was the usual for gents our age; health, family, etc. Then he happened to mention that what he really missed was being able to hols someone or to cuddle now and then. If he was offered anything sexual I think he would have accepted immediately. We had a good visit and I promised to drop in now and then.

After I left I started to wonder how many other shut-ins are out there yearning for some form of personal contact. There are all sorts of organizations that offer services to help with home care and a variety of health issues, or the come help with yard work, etc. But there is not a service that an lonely senior can call to make an appointment for someone to come give them a hug ... or perhaps a BJ.

Setting up such a service would most probably be against the law; especially if you charged for the service. Does anyone know of a service or that might give these shut-in seniors a ray of happiness once in a while?

I guess the news stories about us older folk now outnumbering the young ones is true. when you browse any of the hook-up sites there are definately more of us than of them. The sad part is that us and them seem to seldom mix ... everyone is looking for someone "under 35" ... even the ones over 60 want a smooth young body.

My experience is that it seldom happens. About a year ago I met a young 20 yo lad who turned out to be a great companion. We meet about once every 2 or 3 months and he loves to cuddle and chat (among other things). He says that I've taught him patience and how to truly enjoy another man's company.

So younger-older experiences are not non-existent ... just rare.
