I Want Equal Rights DAMMIT...... OK...let's just set the scene first shall we? It's a hot summer day, the sun is beating down relentlessly, you're in your car on the interstate, someone has wrecked right at the mouth of the tunnel - there's no way in, there's no way to turn around, there's no easy "out"...you're just stuck. You know it's going to take a while for the clear up and you know you can't keep your car running the whole time. There goes the blessed air conditioning. Ugh. After a bit I can start to feel the sweat building up on my body, it's miserable, the tops of my breast and the cleavage are wet, soaking my shirt. The sweat begins to trickle down my breast to pool at the bottom of the underwire making that uncomfortable. For the millionth time I wish I could just freaking take my shirt and bra off and feel the cool breeze. I look at the car beside me, men, who at this point have taken their shirts off. There they sit in their car, topless, feeling the breeze against their skin. And suddenly between the heat and the absolute "unfairness" of the whole situation I'm suddenly just totally pissed off. Why can't I take my shirt off? What's the difference between his breast and mine other than a few pounds? He has the exact same things I do. Why is ok for him to walk around showing his nipples when I can't? Why is America so freaking prudish? They're just tits. It's kinda like the whole "Janet Jackson Super Bowl" thing. Justin Timberlake, (who nobody censures...), pulls her top and her tit comes out. SO WHAT? Big Freaking Deal? Again...IT'S JUST A TIT people. As our favorite NZ'er would say, FFS...get a life. Your was not traumatized by seeing for a very split second some woman's tit. So it's up to us, dear women of Blogland. It's up to us to put on the mantle of our ancestors, those brave suffragettes, and fight for our right to go topless. We'll pick a day to peacefully protest that unfair advantage that our "brother's" are given by society. On a certain day, at a certain time, wherever we are, in total solidarity, we'll take our tops off! When we've done that, (and we all get out of jail), we'll organize the first ever, "MILLION TOPLESS WOMEN MARCH" on Capital Hill. We'll push our proud breast out in unison, locked arm in arm and march right up to the white house gates! YES! Power to the TOPLESS WOMEN!! They'll have to hear our voices when we unite as one. Who's with me?   I make mistakes, I am out of control & at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best. ~Marilyn |

Move to any of the Scandinavian countries and when the weather reallhy warms up there it's tops off galore. And northern europeans as a rule are much less self counscious about their own nudity than the average American. One summer I took a short contract job in the television production industry in Denmarks's largest western city on the western part of the country name Aarhus (pronounced Oarhoose) For awhile I wasa staying at an old converted farmhouse which had been sectioned off and then used by three or four families who had purchases the whole thing collectively to use as housing. There was a period for about a week in which the days were quite sunny and the temps stayed steady around 28c (which is about 83f to you non metric folk) and this is quite warm weather for Denmark. So thusly the tops flying began to ensue in a sometimes quite pleasant fashion. But I also realized that it could have a disconcertingly odd effect on me. One woman who lived in another one these farm cottages I was staying loved to go out in the sun and do her gardening topless. She was what you might call "robust" in size an stature and most particularly in her glandular formations sometimes referred to as "boobs". I simply could not feel comfortable or normal at all going out there while she was doing that. It just all struck me as being too odd, unuaual and awkward to deal with in an everyday manner. Of course I was the one with the "problem" there. She was simply enjoying the light, the warmth and her garden. Like all women should rightly be able to do anywhere and anytime they please.

Here in Canada a woman fought the Supreme Court to be "allowed" to go bare chested just like men(saying only men could was unconstitutional).She won.Now us gals can walk around anywhere anytime with our hooters in plain view.Gotta love it.Maybe you should do the same thing! SS1
