A Little Respect

Respect is the key. I often see adult theme sites and profiles on Twitter, when the individuals and couples are sharing their lives and adventures for others to see. When I communicate with some, I hear stories of such directness, it makes me admire their level of patience.

Being a guy on a site is surreal at times. I always communicate with respect and treat a lady, or couple, as unique individuals. And often I hear such stories. The endless torrent of dick pictures, or the propositioning of someone after just a sentence or two. Sometimes, the only line is a proposition. I guess it may work on some, and that’s fine.

What I find distressing about the state of affairs these days is the lack of respect.
Simply because someone decides to post pictures of sexual adventures and poses does not mean these individuals are without feelings. I often admire profiles with nudity on them. They can be attractive and very arousing, but that does not give me the green light to be disrespectful. If I attempt to and they shoot down or I hear silence, that’s their decision to make. We should be adults, and unless you’re Thor himself, rejection will be part of the overall experience. It’s how you handle it is what can make everyone’s experience that much better.

So, make the effort to show respect in whatever decision is made. You may be lucky and have an experience that will be lasting, or you may very well be told “no thanks”. The point is, we need to wish them well and move on. Sometimes, a graceful exit may lead to second chances down the road. You just never know.

Spread good will and respect, regardless of the content of their profile or a lifestyle choice. Someone who shares beauty with others should be celebrated, not treated as objects. Be an adult, and show respect at all times.
