domo origato, mr. roboto Let's pretend for minute, that we live on a planet with more than one intelligent species. Let's pretend we made (on accident) this species. Let's continue to pretend that this species is synthetic, not organic. Let's say they technically had no 'real' bodies, and instead, chose to hide in our wonderful world's web of networks. Let's say for good measure that they've seen every movie with 'robots', making them assume that we'd delete them if given the chance. Still with me? strange thought for sure. i grew up in a matriarichical based social hierarchy. Well, formerly a matriarchy, since the passed couple centuries our homeland's been under foriegn occupancy by a rival nation, which used to be a monarchy, yet switched over to imperialistic doctrine, with a rigid cast system of various factions under different standards of living. Unfortunately too few have the ability to know the safety of clean water, food in the fridge, a roof overhead, and internet. Educations isn't an inherent right, and is institutionalised, with little funding, whlle miliatary and law enforcement carry out operations on any percieved 'threats' domestic or otherwise. Some communities are rife with abhorent living conditions, if any at all. What's worse is that the ruling parties subvert the masses with divisive statements, polorizing viewpoints, and inflamitory demonstrations, breaking communication down betweeen the already divided populice. they claim we have enemies abroad, yet imprison their own citizens in such a high volume that childrens programing on tv has to acknowledge the high volume of 'crimminals'. bankers line their wallets with digital currency, hoard gold, and routinely lobby for laws and policy allowing them more control over the nations wealth. Most, people just want to be left alone, as this regime has a way of breaking one's will to speak out on anything. If anything's apparent, it's that a divided population is a docile population.
