Motorcycles are everywhere ! Real April fools joke !! Well it would seem like the 2019 biking season so will be here to stay for another year very soon, but a lot of bikers will be sadly disappointed by the decision to close the Cabot Trail to bikers.. After many vocal protests from the RVer's and local's the ( Department of Transportation has decided to shut it down to Motorcyclists because of the noise level..As stated just for the 2019 season till something can be decided about the level of noise the loud pipes are making and drawing attention to residents..The travellers who drive the trail in their Recreation vehicles and campers are complaining that they cannot get enough speed to make the steep grades in their RV's because getting behind a lone biker or group are slowing them down.. Motorcyclists love the<b> curves </font></b>of the trail and cutting through the Cape Breton Highlands is a dream for any motorcyclist because of the winding roads..but it also is a popular tourist destination as well and regular vehicles are also finding it difficult to wind up the hills when constantly being flooded behind and getting motorcycles in front slowing them down as well.. An official with the Phillip McAvity says tourists and local residents are getting tired of open piped cruisers blasting through the Cape Breton hills all summer long..Angus macGaskill , a resident there organized a winter long letter writing campaign that asked local transportation officials and politicians to address the issue of loud motorcycles on the trail...he says as soon as the warm weather comes you get the big shiny bikes blatting their pipes the whole way up holding up the RV's trying to make it up the hills. RV'ers are also voicing their opinion as to banning motorcycles on the trail totally. The RV's come from all over the world to drive the trail but when they just get out and going up the hills they get behind motorcycles and have to slow down..The long string of negatives have far outweighed the positives , so its kind of up in the clouds for now until some kind of solution can be reached ... not sure who wrote this post but it was found on Google and It may be an April fools joke? not sure ..personally I would like to travel the Cabot Trail some day on my Motorcycle so guess we will see.....joke or not hopefully a solution can be reached..lol |

Wow that really would suck for those poor bikers. Happy April Fools day hun.. Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

There was a time when I would be absolutely sure this was an April Fools Day joke...but, those days are long past......

I ride- the twisties are fun to ride- except for sloe RV's that - even in a car refuse to pull over when there are 5 to 10 cars behind them- I'm assuming it's still a free country where you live and where this happens?
