DATE NIGHT:AN EXPERIMENT IN SOCIAL ETTIQUETTE .. When I first met Lori I was quite impressed with the fact that she was openly gay , living in a small town in East Texas not known for its tolerance of alternative lifestyles.. Livingston ,Texas resisted the advances of civilization well into the 20th century, and has, until recently , threatened to lynch , tar and feather,or shoot anyone who didn't accept the first book of Genesis as truth.. Clarence Darrow was an atheist as far as the city fathers were concerned.. Bill Bryan,of course, was Gods chief spokesman.. And Jim Crow, was the law of the land.. When I approached Lori about my bisexuality, and came out of my spacious and quite comfy closet, I was gratified to discover that she not only accepted my proclivities but was determined to help me to walk boldly into the light of revelation.. " Hell " she said , "You gotta stand up and be counted." Before I could reveal my own particular perversion , however , she claimed that I would have to do the femme thing to a shining T.. " you gotta make these rednecks notice..grab em by the nuts .. Get into their fucking heads .. that aint hard.. show a little skin ,wear short shorts ..make em
lust after you" was her point. So she set about trying to mold me into what she claimed would be a work of beauty unrivaled in the 'trans-world' . I was floundering , of course, wanting to expand my transvestism to embrace all of the femme arts but not knowing how to.. I didn't want to learn these essentials by trial and error,. The error part could lead to much ridicule and possible ostracization , if not institutionalization ... So I agreed to accept her offer. With my permission, she and Angel (Loris old lady) would turn me into a glamorous T-girl of the first and finest order.
