A few of you good people have had the misfortune of reading '50 Shades of Grey', I'm sorry for your loss. You could have read some really good books.

The age old classic that most people into DS go for is 'The Story of O', its an old book set in a bygone era but it is no less important or relevant. many people in the fetish scene base their philosophy on its teachings.

OK, so you don't want to read a dusty old French story (you can always watch the movie lol), well there is 'Screw the Roses send me the thorns', its bit younger than 'O' & may give you a good insight into the scene. It's the book that should be on the shelves of anyone who is really interested in BDsm or at least in the bottom of their knicker drawer.

Finally if you want something bang up to date then the readers choice is 'Swansong by GM Jordan'. Based on a true story it will teach you a lot about the modern scene. Want to know how well it is regarded? Read the reviews, its been called 'The book 50 Shades should have been.'

All these books are available from Amazon & all good book retailers
