What was the first sex/romantic novel I read?
What was the first sex/romantic novel I read? I love reading, and writing sex stories. So, the very first sex story that I have read was a novel called Unlawful Contact, by Pamela Clare. This is how I got introduced to writing sex stories, by the way. When I was about to eighteen in high school, I was a Senior obviously and one day with a fever I was having my mom comes in reading this novel that had a guy kissing a girl with blonde hair in a sleeping bag on the front of the cover. I asked my mom, what was she reading and she told me about the girl name Sophia who loses her virginity at 16 to a guy name Marc who is leaving the following morning for the army. So I am not going into details about the book, because I don't to spoil the story. But anyway, when I got to feeling better I took the book without asking my mom and read it and boy, those sex scenes where so good. There were some I wanted to try, and yes I shamefully marked in the book of the sex scenes. So after that, I went to reading Nora Roberts and other sex novels along with Fifty shades of gray. I only read the first book, I haven't read the second or third or seen the movie yet. I know the second movie trailers are already showing up, but, yeah...I need to reread the first book and read the other two before seeing the first movie and the second. So, tell me guys what was your first sex/romantic story. |

Out of curiousity, I have read a couple of romance novels and disliked their silly intrepretations of love and romance. As much as porn creates distorted expectations of sex for men, the romance industry (novels and movies) creates distorted expectations for women. For example, the Fifty Shades series is not an acturate protrayal of the bdsm lifestyle. In addition, the series falls back on an old ( and false ) romance induatry trope: the unwavering love a good woman will redeme a "bad" boy. This trope has, at least in part, kept many women trapped in abusive relationships for a long time. Sorry, apparently my attitude is showing. “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” ― Oscar Wilde

My mum had some saucy novels too, and as soon as I realised what it was I skipped to the juicy bits. I can remember one time when my sister was on the phone to a college and karate friend of mine, I picked up a spare phone to join in the conversation and just started reading a naughty section. The shock that registered was well worth it.
