Slides count down to PHASE 2.....and so it begins:
This coming Thursday....Jefe and I will be flying to Tucson...and we begin with PHASE 2 of my move from Az. to CA.
We'll get in kinda late...10pm'ish, but it's ok...we don't normally go to bed until 1am'ish most nights, and we'll still get a good nights sleep before we start in on my STUFF. I've got more "stuff" than necessary, or so my dad would've said.

Ok..so, back to the 2nd phase....
It's going to be a challenge that's for sure figuring out what to take, what to give away to family and friends, what to sell, what to donate to the Veterans and/or Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc... and what to just plain throw away.
I'll probably get a chance to do some visiting to my Blogland buddies and also to do a few post's, catch up on my comments... for a few days. FYI-Thank you to all who have visited and commented. I will be replying soon to each of you....maybe do one gigantic post-comment, but to each of you individually.
Jefe has taken some very much needed time off from work and has gone up North to visit some very close friends. He left this morning around 8am or so....and I am missing him big time. It's one thing when he leaves to go to work on a weekend day and maybe is gone nearly all day and part of the evening...I know he'll be home....but when I know he'll be gone overnight or even gone a few days/nights it feels very empty in the house.
Anyway...back to PHASE 2.
Jefe and I have found our new apartment and we'll get to move into it next month around the 24th. It'll be approx 15 miles closer to work for me and maybe about 5-6 miles further for Jefe....but he drives all over southern CA. all the time, so it's ok with him, not a big deal. It's very nice, very expensive...very big and most of all....we won't be living in the Ghetto of Riverside anymore. Where we live now, is not a very good neighborhood/area. The intersection at the closest corner...and I mean...we are right at the intersection....is so friggin noisey, it's driving us batty. Constant sirens...every 15-20 min's or so 24/7. Police helicopter flies around nightly....even twice a night at some point or another. 3 weeks ago Sunday, someone, somewhere nearby completely "unloaded" a gun at something/someone....but we don't know where or who or even if anyone got hit, but we heard the gun shots loud and clear.
Where was I??? OH yeah... the move. So, we'll get to Tucson late Thursday night, Friday we'll take inventory and start sorting thru stuff and packing. Saturday we'll go and get the truck we reserved and do more packing, then loading....also hopefully will be able to sell stuff I don't want during the day Friday and Saturday in between sorting/packing. Sunday, we'll drive back to CA. We'll have to leave my car at the airport in Ontario on Thursday, then go and pick it up when we get back in town, take this truck to my 's house in Fontana and park it overnight, because the apartment manager won't let us park it here....then on Monday morning...go get the truck and go to where he already has a storage unit and unload, then take the truck and drop it off.
I hope the weather doesn't get as hot as it was 2-3 weeks ago...it was 113 degrees one Saturday. That's just too, too hot.
I'm anxious and excited to go to my house, see my stuff and finally start getting my stuff, my life transplanted out here to CA.
Next month we will start...PHASE 3...as we will get to start
moving into the new place...then I think a month or so after that, we'll finish up with...the FINAL PHASE...4 and make 1 last trip to Tucson to get the rest of whatever we couldn't get. At least I'll be able to get my house rented out. I have to free up my income so I can carry my end of the new apartment. So far since I've been out here, I've been making my mortage payments and keeping the utilities goin, but to be honest, it's been very difficult....every penny I have had since I've been working, with the exception of Pepsi and cigarettes....has been to the house, gas in the car and food. Gas out here is still very expensive and it feels like I'm constantly at the gas pump....watching the $$$$$ add up.
I did however get a really nice break...
CHA CHING...I won safety BINGO at my work this week...to the tune of $354.00....which I can't tell you all how much I needed that extra financial boost. I'll get to keep it all if no one else had BINGO, but so far, I haven't heard of anyone else getting it.
So, that's the newest news on my move to CA.
It's been a hell'of a year...mostly pretty damn good, and that's because I fell in love, am in love...with probably the kindest, affectionate, patient, smartest, most decent, hard workin, funniest man I've ever known and he loves me too! For those of you new to my Blog check out Tomorrow021806 and there you will see when and how I met Jefe...and then from that day onward.... we have been together ever since. Pretty cool, huh?

You don't write in forever then you write a post long enough to make up for it.
Good luck with the trip and getting all your stuff moved. I hate moving so my sympathies are with you.
 Have tongue, will use it. Repeatedly.

LOL... I know....eh' what can I say...LOL. My next post is apt to be a doozy, lots of catchin up to do, ya know. LOL. Thanks for the well wishes Daphne...moving basically sucks, but sometimes in order to get there from here, ya gotta knuckle under and just do it. Hopefully, it won't be too stressful and we'll not have any issues or any issues between each other, the latter is the most important...that he and I have patience with each other and not have a spat. I think we'll do ok, we haven't had any spats so far. I hope all is well with you and your dad is doing good too, or at least as well as possible under the circumstances. Hugs!!

Slide....Slide?....Oh yeah! That's that poodle-haired girl from AZ! Yeah, now I remember! Run off with that Spoon from CA I think. Wonder what ever happened to her????

Aw Girl...Things sure have changed for you since the last time we talked....Glad to hear all the great news. I need to get on here more and see what is going on in Blogsville...
