Judgment

For those of you who believe in God let me dispel a great myth regarding his nature. There is a myth that has circulated throughout the history of mankind. And that is that God shall pass judgment upon us in life and in death. But this is all that it is, a myth, a misconception, a misunderstanding of the true nature of God. It is mankind who passes judgment. It is we who judge each other and ourselves. Our conception of God is but a reflection of ourselves. Our understanding of God can be no greater than our understanding of ourselves. The truth is we cannot understand the true nature of God. But we can grow in our understanding of his true nature. God does not pass judgment. God does not judge. God is acceptance. God is forgiveness. God accepts all living entities as they are, because there is an infinite variance within existence. So how can God possibly pass judgment on that which is infinitely variant. When you think about it. It doesn't make much sense to pass judgment at all. But it is within our nature to do so.

I like the way you think. Very interesting that you should take it a step further. The concept of God itself is a myth. I believe that the concept of God as we understand him is a myth. But the possibility of there being some entity of infinite power; unknown. I consider myself to be agnostic. I don't know if God exists. I definitely believe that God as we understand him was created by men as a means of control, because it reflects our need to control others. I definitely believe that the Bible was written by men as a means of control. To instill fear of punishment.

God's word as expressed in the Bible? If you are talking about the Bible, I believe God's word is really man's word; expressing his understanding of God at the time that it was written.

But, I do respect your opinion and thank you for expressing it. You are always welcome to express your opinion anytime on my blog.
