Goodbye and Hello old friend
Goodbye and Hello old friend I was bored and alone last night so I decided to play with a old friend. My guitar that I've kept in a gig bag in a corner for the longest time. A cheap Esteban acoustic that I bought years ago. If you don't know anything about gutairs it's a piece of shit. It's the second worst model on the market barely above a harmony but I bought it as a dream to be the next Kurt Cobain and get chicks wet. I quickly realized that it's going to take years to be decent at playing and I live in Detroit, chicks only get wet for rappers around here but I persevered and worked my way up to sucking and then something happened. I got lazy. Instead of practicing after work I veged out in front of the tv. I got roommates and no one wants to be the annoying roommate with the shitty gutair playing and with the hours I work I would have to practice at night when everyone else is trying to sleep. So it just sat there in the corner until last night. Everyone is doing the whole thanksgiving prep thing so I was alone. So I decided to play and I forgot how much I enjoyed being terrible. After playing the 4 songs that I know how to play back to back ( Those are Bob Marley's No woman no cry, Sherly Crow's Leaving Las Vegas, Nine inch nails' Hurt and Taylor Swift's Blank space if you're wondering) I started to feel sort of cocky. Then I popped my E string. I took that as a sign that it's time to upgrade to better equipment. Because I'll never be the next Kurt Cobain or ever make a chick wet but I enjoy playing and I guess that's a good enough reason to keep playing. |

I hope you do not call women chicks in real life...for this story it is okay, but please do not do it in front of women. Glad you found a new 'old' hobby...
