My tired is tired.

My tired is tired.

Yesterday was a long day....

There are times when I'm all motivated and confident, screaming to the world "I am woman, hear me roar." I handle the challenges of my day, make those tough work decisions, and go home to take care of my family without the help of anyone else.

My grandmother always told me to make sure I'm always in a position to take care of myself, never let a man run my life.

I guess you can say, I took it to heart.

There are times, though, when I wish I had a partner in crime.

The Spawn didn't want to go to the gym with me last night, so I ended up going alone. The Gym Rats weren't there making fun of people and Obscene Groan Gym Guy must have taken the night off so it was easy for me to forget about where I was and just listen to my music.

What started out as stressed out, anxiety filled walking on the treadmill turned into a therapeutic, stress releasing stroll. Somehow between the Climax Blues Band singing Couldn't Get It Right and Fleetwood Mac, I let it all go.

And, I felt energized again.

I take pictures of things I want to remember, and I wanted to remember that moment on the treadmill when I realized I could let it go and whatever happens, happens.

So, here it is, a moment I want to remember.

    Say, where you gonna go?
    Girl, where you gonna hide?
You go on leaving out your heart
And all it's saying deep inside
    Hold on
From here I can feel your heart beat
Oh, you got me all wrong
    You ain't to worry
You just been lonely too long
    All night long
I know what it means to hide your heart
    From a long time ago
    Oh, darling
    It keeps you running
    Yeah, it keeps you running
    (It keeps you running)
    It keeps you running
    Yeah, it keeps you running
    (It keeps you running)
    It keeps you running
    Yeah, it keeps you running
    (Yeah yea)
    It keeps you running
    Yeah, it keeps you running
Oh, I know how you feel
Hey, you know I been there
But, what you've been keeping to yourself?
Well you know it just ain't fair
    Hey yea
    Hold on
I've seen quite a few improvements already, just in the month that I've been going to the gym. I'm not so focused on doing it for weight loss, even though that would be fantastic, but more to just be healthy. I can't even explain how much it has helped me sleep. I've been reading articles on how physical activity can lessen anxiety and depression, something I've struggled with for years, and I've noticed an improvement there as well.

Music cures a lot and allows the mind to find a new path
I love music.... It can pick me up when I'm feeling down. It can stir up memories that I had completely forgotten about. It can soothe my mind when it's running out of control.

I hate treadmills, I usually smoke a joint and I don't know where my problems go, but they go away.
Unfortunately, I have to stick to the treadmill because the other could get me fired from my job. Can't pay my bills if I have no job....

The gym is a great place to go, and forget about life's stress for awhile. It's helped me through some stressful times.
It has been very therapeutic for me. I'm sleeping SO MUCH BETTER now. I can't even describe how happy that, in itself, makes me. I think it's also helping me overcome some of my social anxiety issues. It was very easy for me to just go home and hide out after work.... Now I'm making it a point to go to the gym every day. Not to mention, I told myself at the beginning of the year that this year I'm working on my own personal development, and this was one of the ways I was going to improve.
