Our Honeymoon: You ain't gonna believe this shit...

This is the story of the Honeymoon from Hell. There are lessons to be learned here, so here goes.

My bride (Mistress_Tina_69) and I had planned the honeymoon we wanted. Fly from DIA to Sea-Tac, take possession of a very rare Porsche and drive to San Francisco, then Las Vegas, then to Albuquerque and home. We were going to spend a day in Seattle having fun, a day in San Francisco, and a day in Las Vegas. Ben has lived in Seattle and San Francisco, so we thought we would have a great time.

But the God of Troubled Travelers cursed us from the moment we got off the shuttle at DIA. We suffered the dregs of humanity at a crowded airport, we were assigned seats far away from each other so we couldn't even talk, and had to find a lost limo to take us to the dealership to pick up the car.

Then we got cut off in traffic and damaged the car. After Ben calmed down we rented a Dodge Challenger Hemi (what a fun car!), put the Porsche on a truck to Las Vegas to be fixed, and took off for San Francisco.

But the Gods were never far away. On the San Francisco Bay Bridge, another driver ran into our rental car (thank God for Hertz rental insurance), and pushed us into a semi that almost ran up and over us. Our consolation is in knowing that certain death would have awaited us if we had been driving the Porsche.

So we then got lost in San Francisco, and we just overloaded and gave up. So we took off in this wonderful car and drove over 37 hours straight to get home to Longmont.

It took us days to get over the time lag. And we're still getting back to normal. Ben has said that we're going on a more sure proof honeymoon this summer, and we'll take the Porsche.
