Things that make you Hum

I couldn’t believe my luck, I saw her three weeks ago and instantly fell in love, well, in lust anyway, and now here she is, sitting on a bar stool in my favorite watering hole. What was I to do, maybe introduce myself, would she be impressed? Sure, I am rich, but I don’t show my money and none of my friends know that I am totally loaded. I am definitely no Fabio, so how will she react to me hitting on her? Well, there is only one way to find out.

I ordered two more beers and decided I would offer one to her. She is perfect, light red hair and the face of an angel, with cute little dimples and rosy red lips. Okay, I am going for it, after all, what is the worst that can happen? She may pour my beer on me, but I may just get lucky. Time will tell.

I stroll up to her, but before I can get there another guy beats me to it. She does not seem interested, oh no, will I get the same treatment? I walk up to where they are and ask the guy why he seems to intent to try and dance with my girlfriend? She smiles, he retreats, I hand her the second beer and apologize for that. She smiles and asks me to have a seat beside her. Her name is Lacy and she is a college student at the local university studying Philosophy. She is perfect, in every way. I so want to kiss her and take her home with me, but I decide to play it cool.

We talk for the rest of the night, and I think she digs me. Can I actually get this angel home with me or will she bolt? What if the bat-signal goes off? Will I have to depart? (Hey, wait a minute, I am not Batman so I am good).
