When I think "30 years ago," I still think 1970.

 Every so often I make a cultural reference to one of my classes and I have to follow up by asking them if they are familiar with what I'm talking about.

My students were born were all born after Kurt Cobain died. They have never lived in a world where grunge was edgy, new music for them it's always been that stuff their parents listen to
