now I have to pay to read messages !!!!!

This sucks................. I am a standard member and have always been able to save points for logging in and using those points to message people on here. If they answered back you could just keep mailing back and forth
Its worked great for me, I have met a lot of fun people on here that way!!
now I have to pay to read so I can read messages !!!

 This site is just about not worth it between this and limiting IM contacts. If they think people are suddenly going to pay when the hit ratio of people (women) responding sucks to begin they are out of their mind. Especially when it is common knowledge that they give women gold memberships for free. I have spoken with at least 20 women in the last year that have free gold memberships. I have enough points to get one but they still require me to prove my identity. BULLSHIT. They didn't require that when they gave out free ones to the women I spoke with. If things don't change I just won't log in much anymore.

 I support the protest. I am a long-time paying member, temporarily lapsed. A paying member initiated contact with me and we are in process of setting something up when suddenly I could not read past messages or rely to his most recent message.

I imagine there will be some paying members who are going to protest this change.

I hope Affairlook is successful; has been a useful site for me. but I am questioning whether I will send them any money in the future if, as a paying member, I get cut off when trying to make contact with regular members with whom I want to hook up.

 seems like Affairlook didnt think this through very well. suppossedly to "enhance the gold membership" they did this. uhhhh wtf making it so they have like nobody to message? and repelling new people from the site? where's the protest blog at?
