SMOKING BAN!

CALABASAS, California has made smoking in public, even on your porch or patio, illegal.
Is this an infringement of the rights of the smokers or is a country with a large percentage of smokers who have very expensive and prolonged deaths due to smoking, tired of paying the medical bills for what is actually a very stupid habit?
Whadda ya think?

Well........ at least dangerous sports have a quick end, little expense on the public. Smoking? My father in law died of lung cancer from smoking, took him five years and he weighed 81 pounds when he died and sucked money from the whole family for medical expenses. He blew smoke in our faces while he lived and bankrupted us as he died. Fuck him and everyone who causes their own lingering death by whatever means of self abuse. I'm alergic to cigarette smoke and don't go to smoky bars anymore and have learned to avoid smokers in almost all areas of my life, second hand smoking kills too, check the statistics on the web, 3000 lung cancer deaths in California every year from second hand smoke. Smokers shorten the lives of those around them and cause them loss of work, school, and play time because of illnesses related to respiratory problems. Just stop. Stop. Don't smoke, don't kill yourself and others around you. Three of nine smokers dies directly from smoking related disease, 1/3 of them die of lung cancer coughing up blood. Stop smoking.

A point for sure to put forward ....... for me, i despise risk takers for the same reason, they cause expenses for others but wouldnt ban them. ... so, next is skydiving, bungying, fast driving, and the fastest way to die young in our now society.. bicycling for "health" reasons? (ya right). Just some more food for thought....
lil ............ oh, and overweight is big killer, ban or ration food anyone can eat??? ........ if for one of these, then why not the others? ..... arguement is every bit as strong, or maybe even stronger for things other than smoking. ... food for thought is all.
