Name and shame time!
Name and shame time! My profile was disabled by Affairlook because I was reported for violating their TOS via the message centre. I assume it's because I called rm_TomCLd* an idiot, in response to his ridiculous question. I felt it was justified, it seems Affairlook - and this member - don't like the word. Although it also appears to be the case that this particular member thinks it's acceptable to speak to me the way he does - see below - and at the same time have the nerve to report me for the use of the word 'idiot'! This site really needs to take a long, hard look at their rules, not to mention banning people like this guy from the site! rm_TomCLd* Why put bi if you're a lesbian? 29/8/2014 6:13 pm Me Because i'm not a lesbian, idiot. 30/8/2014 1:43 pm rm_TomCLd* You're the fucking idiot calling yourself bi and saying you don't want to hear from any men, just women, that's called lesbianism u fucking dumb cunt. Fuck off. 30/8/2014 3:18 pm |

Ordinarily I am not at a loss for words, but this one has me groping for speech. I just wanted to let you know I read your post and am as incredulous as you. Oh, wait I found the word. It's douchebag. Yep. he's a douchebag! Become a member now and get a free tote bag.

He fought the law and the law won! They took their time over it though...

"I did get the same result! They deleted his account." Well done, Sarah! It definitely pays to complain, and Affairlook got it right again and deleted him, paying member and all "I'm always disappointed when a liar's pants don't actually catch on fire..."

I doubt she was booted for making the comments alone. Obviously, the site doesn't pay that much attention or there would be a lot fewer users. That said, he (or somone else) probably filed a complaint with site operators. The best advice comes from 'FullOn4U' - I'd take his recommendation to heart. Only adding, those that out people in public risk not getting any response (or interest) at all whether in chat, email or blogs. It doesn't matter if you're 24 or 34, you still want "decent people" to contact and communicate with you. Being reactive makes the more intelligent people (those worth talking to) think twice about playing at all because they never know what will set you off next. Its your choice but this advice is applicable in both the digital and real world. ... I have every right to out him and it hasn't stopped people from getting in touch. Yes, it is my choice, and I made the right one and got the correct result. Thank you for posting

And yet Sarah was booted while he was not. ARF favour paying customers. Though it might be worthwhile asking on the Support blog why someone can call you a "fucking dumb cunt" and get away with it Thanks for posting

You're a bi-sexual girl online looking for the same, so what's his problem? How does that mean you're a lesbian? You're right. He is an idiot! Having checked him out, I see his problem. Pretty unattractive and a small dick The latter explains why he's nasty and bitter towards a complete stranger who clearly states on their profile they've no interest in men in general, let alone him. No doubt he's often rejected on the site, so he thought he'd be a tough guy and pick on you. What a prince! I had success in getting someone deleted, who thought they could verbally abuse me via the message centre, without provocation, as you know from my blogs Why so bitter and Abuse doesn't pay This kind of behaviour isn't acceptable, and I hope you get the same result as I did. I'm all for naming and shaming. Sure, chances are they won't read the blog, but when their profile is deleted? They might, just might, get the message that no, we won't take abuse, and there is a price to pay. Just keep being yourself, Sarah, and keep reporting the morons! Thanks Holly

Its your choice but this advice is applicable in both the digital and real world. Oh, please. While I can't speak for Sarah I can say that I get more than enough interest via blogs, messages and chat, etc. Outing someone who is abusive for no reason will not stop decent people getting in touch. It's interesting that you wonder what will "set us off" as opposed to wondering what sets the abusers off. We state a fact yet we're the ones being questioned as to what might "set us off"? Lmao, too funny. "I'm always disappointed when a liar's pants don't actually catch on fire..."

Report him. Block him. Move on. But a word of caution. I understand your anger about being treated like this but naming and shaming is a dangerous move. I have no reason to doubt you but he might say you're making it up to harass him - and you might end up getting in trouble. And you don't want to give him that satisfaction

Sarah, It is guys like this that give us all a bad name. Who you choose to communicate with is your choice, and it is spelled out on your profile. Please don't think that we are all this ignorant, it is obvious, that you are not a lesbian, you are just looking for a woman at this time. As for the site's action, if he is so soft that idiot offends him, then perhaps he needs to move to another venue. His outburst deserves to get his account frozen, not yours. Good luck with your search.
