The Republicans, having assured themselves that democracy is dead in America, don't even bother to hide their criminality anymore. They KNOW democracy is dead because they helped Putin to kill it. And the deplorable, dumbassed, racist and sexist pigs known as "the real" Americans absolutely love it. They never did understand what was unique, special, about the USA. Despite all its faults, America was a land of hope and promise. You can kiss that shit goodbye. From now on we're just another banana republic, a wholly owned subsidiary of Trump Enterprises. William Barr, like Lindsey Graham, is a cocksucker. That's both their titles and their job descriptions. Barr complained that Trump's tweets make it harder for him to do his job. I want to know how Trump's tweets make it harder for Barr to suck Trump's dick. He should get some private tutoring from Lindsey and if the two of them can't figure it out they need to bring in an outside consultant. Monica Lewinski comes to mind. So true "he even didn't have buy our democracy." You could say he paid for it with his honor or his decency as he certainly lost those somewhere. But I don't believe he has ever had either of those not even when he was a grade school kid. No he stole the country with the help of the electoral college. A disfunctional, abused, left over feature that was intended to keep people like him out of the position it was used to put him into. It is entirely possible that it will be used to reinstall him there again come the November election. One thing is for certain the Republipigs are doing everything they can to keep him there as long as possible and to do as much damage to the country as they can while he is there. All to make the wealthy contributors richer and secure their hold on the judicial branch as tightly as possible. Do you wonder what drove Castro to do the things he did? I wouldn't put Castro in the same category with Trump or even with his minions. Castro was more like a religious zealot, an ideologue. The current Republican party- and Trump- only care about winning and getting revenge against us "others". They have no real ideology. For all its sins, and there were a lot, the motivation of the official Communist Party was "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." These fucking guys in Trump's gang are just a bunch of crooks and thugs.  Vive La Difference

Comrade I was thinking the other way around... about how Castro was inspired to do what he did because of the people like Tyrump and his goons who were xaping his country. There is a socialist tradition in the English speaking world that owes nothing to the Bolsheviks or the October Revolution, or even to Marx. It goes back to William Walwyn, John Lilburne and the Levelers and Diggers of the English Civil War. We in the west never needed direction from Moscow in how to practice solidarity. Oddly enough, now that Russia is no longer communist, we're getting that direction in orders from Putin passed down to Trump! And the party being dictated to is none other than the Family Values, motherhood, babies and American flag party of superpatriots- the fucking Republicans. However- in Casto's defense, who the hell else was he going to turn to for defense of his revolution? The USSR was his only option. Become a member now and get a free tote bag.

Your comment makes better sense now- thanks. I don't think Castro was half of what the US demonized him for but I can't idolize him either. I respect him for throwing out Batista and for standing up to the USA for so long...with Soviet backing, of course. Nixon doomed Castro with the Eisenhower administration from the start. I have the same problem with the Cuban Communists that I have with American communists of the thirties- they largely let the Comintern dictate policy for their party. The Bolsheviks were never tolerant of dissent even in their own ranks and even purged the likes of Trotsky, the hero of the Red Army who drove out the interventionists. Exactly what I meant. Castro saw his country and people being used and abused and so he chose to do something and his only option because of the corruption coming from the U.S., sadly, was to turn to Russia. The Socialist revolution going on here now however has nothing to do with the criminal in charge in Russia and is not the same movement as occurred in the past in communist block countries. You are right about the Republipigs colluding with Putin and claiming to be the super patriots. Doing all in the name of the all mighty dollar and the political power to forever turn the control of the government in their favor through the corruption of the process of the elections and the judicial branch while instilling the presidency with unimpeachable powers that he was never meant to have through outright criminal neglect of their duties and oaths to this country and the citizens there of.
