"A good work ethic"!

As a , I learned to work. My parents assigned us duties, they sometimes helped. Such as cutting the grass, trimming hedges, shoveling snow. Also inside duties such as, washing dishes and as well as drying them. So as a young man, I was prepared to get my hands dirty. I did all kind of work at a young age. I got lucky, I established a work ethic. My mom's two brothers, my uncle they both had a different tactic. They were players and liked by many women. One did odd jobs and got payed cash, because he felted if he did taxes, they would garnished his wages. The other uncle had his own business, but he would barely making ends meet. So at different times, they both to decided to let women take care of them. My mom didn't approve of it.

She said, I can see why women loved her younger brother, but her older brother! She jokingly said, he's not handsome enough! I was taking to someone about them, someone use the term, they must be "slinging pipe". I had no idea what he meant, hell I was only 8, now I know. They must be doing something right, for the women to take care of them. I mean several women each. Mandingo's!

My older uncle had a at the age of 46, when his was a . My grandma ask my uncle, why don't his (Tommy) get a job? My uncle told her, he just need a woman to take care of him. This is what my uncle believed! My other uncle was a likable guy, fun to be around and everybody loved him! He lived in NY, he can called people he knew in other state to wired him money and they would! Both uncles seemed like they was living the life, so why work if you don't have to? Wrong!

When we work, they take out FICA, money we might need when we can't work anymore, or an investment on ourselves. My younger uncle didn't have health insurance, and had to go to the free clinic, and neglected his health. He died at 60, no will or money, and had no burial insurance. He died with nothing, so sad.

When my older uncle got social security age. He got only $379.00 a month. He didn't have retirement money, just $379.00 a month from SSAN. Living check to check, in a Va efficiency paying a $100 a month, he's now in his mid 80s. He said, he can only go on a date once each 3 months, by the time he buys food, and necessaries, he's broke. So now since I'm much older. if a young person asked me, "What can i do to have a good future"? I will tell them, "For a a start, you got to have, "A good work ethic"!

Fun facts:

Did you know in your dreams, it's impossible to read?
Because dreams come from the left side of the brain, and reading comes from the right side of the brain.

A really good blog my friend. My parents made sure that all three of us had a great work ethic. I have worked most of my adult life except when my children were very young. I still work part time and will probably never stop.

What a great blog my friend and yes you must have a good work ethic, I have been working since I was nine years old it's too bad they don't go back that far, and being a stay at home mom we don't get credit for that time either which I believe is not fair because being a mom is one of the hardest jobs of all!!! So I probably wont have enough credits when I reach the age to collect which sucks!!! I hope you have a wonderful weekend..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..
