Do they know its Live 8

So I see that Bob Geldoff is at it again. This time Sir Bob (yes he was knighted by the Queen Mum) is holding more concerts in London, Toronto, Philly, Tokyo, and even Johannesburg to again provide some relief for Africa. What a knoble cause, but again I must ask, like I did when Live Aid was rocking the 80's; do you think the average concert go'er is thinking about starving in Africa or are they more concerned with what time Coldplay or Maroon 5 is performing? A ha, so you agree! What's my point? I don't know, Im just making an observation on the state of our United States and the world, I guess. I'm most excited about Pink Floyd reuniting for this event. After spending my youth smoking weed and listening to Animals, Wish You Were Here, and Dark Side of The Moon, (does it really track with The Wizard of Oz?) and having the opportunity to see them live when the pig blew up, it is amazing to me that they are still around today, and yes still able to make good music that is relevent.
Sorry but I just dont get the thumpn of . Don't get me wrong, I've had lots of low end listening to Mr. Marley, Black Uhuru, Eek a Mouse, and have mixed like Scientist, but I just dont get the lyrics, posturing, and lifestyle. I thought music was to celebrate and take one away from the daliy grind, not reinforce it. What was the Shakespere (no not Robby) quote that if music is the key to life, play on?
Well thanks for reading. I think I go get a cocktail and listen to the old turntable, without two microphones.

On a Pink Floyd note...

About 2/3 of Dark Side of the Moon works somewhat in synch with a musical commentary as an alternate soundtrack for The Wizard of Oz but it is just coincidence. If Floyd really had wanted to do this, the record would be as long as the film and it would synch up better.
