How is to date an emotive person

My girlfriend is very emotive and I find that a challenge. Any suggestions on how should I handle this problem?

 Either accept her as she is or find a replacement.
Acceptance in this case is most difficult when every dicussion is self centered on her beliefs.
Another option might include a male friend that may be more logical and objective when you really need that kind of support.
