~~~ A view into the life of a Senior  . Why just give up as the years get added on? I am reminded of a quote, attributed to George Carlin "'Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "HOLY SHIT....WHAT A RIDE!" A friend of mine sent this too me, it is sort of what my neighborhood is like  HOME REPAIRS! Today, a friend of mine’s wife said to him, "Honey, get off your butt and fix that gutter downspout! And, I want it done before the end of the day!” Well, as you all know, at my age, my friend, and most our age, are retired and do have the time to address such “Honey do’s”.. So, he invited some of us neighborhood buddies over to help with the project. One is a sheet metal fabricator. One brought his welder. One brought beer and Nachos. One brought a grill and burgers. Took us about 4-6 hours, and 30-40 beers, but we got it done just as we finished off the last of the burgers. As usual, the wife is still not happy! Can’t understand, cause all us guys love it! Personally, I cannot wait for it to rain again.  My advice,,,,,,,, grab life by the short ones and enjoy every minute        Well I can not miss the opportunity to poke fun at the "youngsters"     |

Some really good one Pal. I am now living the life of a Senior too.. I think the secret here is stay fit and stay young.. Stay active mind and body.. Good to know all your parts are still working. For some men who are in the Senior group some parts are not working. Someday I am too busy to even think I am old.. I will get in lots of travelling in the next few years and hopefully I make it out to NYC area.. It is on the list.. Would love to do coffee! hugssssssssssss V Become a blog watcher sweet_vm
