A tribute to all Veterans

A tribute to all Veterans We have Veterans day and Remembrance day coming up. It has been mentioned in several posts already and well done I may add. This is my special tribute to veterans from all countries, past , present and future. And especially their families and those that were injured or died in service of their countries. Please feel free to contribute or comment.   |

Veteran's day is a time to remember all of the nation's heroes who have fought and in some cases, lost their lives to protect their countries including the people's own rights and freedoms. When Veteran's day arrives, many people have family members and friends who are currently serving in the military or who have served in the military in previous years and wars. hugs V Become a blog watcher sweet_vm

My favourite poem. hugs V  Flanders Field by John McCrae In Flanders Field the poppies blow between the crosses, row on row That mark our place; and in the sky the larks, still bravely singing, fly scarce heard amid the guns below. It’s a time to honour and remember the achievements and sacrifices made by the men and women who have served their country during times of war, conflict, and peace.

Was my pleasure ^5 to a fellow vet I did one short tour in Vietnam and the other end was a tours in Iraq and Afghanistan (and a short civvy break in there).[image]

Veterans day is the day a grateful nation celebrates our Veterans service but they should be remembered every day. Thank you for the post as we Veterans remember and honor all of our comrades past and present. For some of us it is a hard day yet full of hope; a day to keep the faith that this great nation will never fall to foreign or domestic tyrants. God bless all Veterans in not only this country but around the world.
