Handle Change
Handle Change My handle is different now… It is causing me some rather big problems on the blogging front… Each time I try and view my blog, it tells me to create a new one. I can still add posts, but it will not allow me to actually view my blog without creating a new one. In response to Wyvernrose… I did spell my name correctly… In America, Armor is spelt “armor” while in other countries it is sometimes spelt “armour”. Honor in American is often spelt “honor” while in other places spelt “honour”. As a matter of fact, Microsoft Word does not contain the words… Honour, or Armour. I had to just click the add button to include them in the dictionary! I appreciate the attempt at an insult… but I did spell it correctly. The original spelling I had chosen, had been taken. |

This is annoying, half the time I click on my blog it tells me to create a new one. Then i click it again and it works correctly. Earlier today, none of the blogs showed up at all.

Both 'spelt' and 'spelled' are in the dictionary (at least the large ones). Notice that one of the nitpickers(?) misspelled grammar. Funny how Americans (as well as American dictionaries) refer to British spelling as 'British variation spelling'. Which is original? Which is variation? i.e. labour or labor realise or realize manoeuvre or maneuver Oscar Wilde said something tantamount to the U.S. and England being two countries divided by a common language (I think that's close to his exact words). Mistakes started by Americans that often go undetected: 'quote' used as a noun (quotation is the only noun) 'irregardless' is not a word 'alot' is not a word 'enormity' has nothing to do with size 'preclude' does not take persons as its object 'critique, access, impact, privilege, interface, loan, author, [and] accrue' used as verbs, though accrue can be used as an intransitive verb. Dictionaries have given up in some of the latter--nouns-misused-as- verbs--cases and now include some of these words as verbs because of widespread misuse.

That is very true Juju. I even looked it up in our dictionary and it is spelled as I have spelled it here. I also checked some modern history books and they spell it as I have spelled it here.

Papy, take that up with the schools here. lol They don't teach proper english. My son's kindegarten teacher spells color, and honor as you see it. So it isn't us per se as individuals, because we learn it as we get it.

Simple mathematics dear Rose... we outnumber the oppressing Brits and their colonists that didn't throw 'em out on their red-coated arses. It's also more efficient to leave all those Frenchy U's out of those words.
