Long Time and lots of changes later...

I stopped and looked at this thing for the first time in a long time.. Not having posted since March and here it is the 2nd of October. Whats changed? A lot!
The wife and I are officially Empty Nesters now. It took us moving to Houston, Texas to make it happen but there it is. How did we end up in Houston? Long story.. Momma had lost her job for the 3rd time in 2 yrs; Michigan's economy SUCKS.. The company Momma now works for down here made her a damn good offer for a starter. One we couldn't say no to. I started looking for myself then and found one that was actually a small promotion for me despite the expected paycut I had to take. Still, I am starting at what my old company back in Michigan wanted to cut our pay to with its bankruptcy anyway.. so what did I lose besides the uncertainty of whether I had a job or not?
What are we looking forward to down here? Momma wants to get involved with the area as much as possible. I am looking forward to making new friends as well.. after that? who knows?

AboutMe: An empty nest is just that.. of course with both kids having their own cell phones and us all still on one plan.. they call 2-3 times a day.. so nothing has really changed except no hugs from my lil girl.. (who's 22)

Angel: been a whirling dervish trying to get settled.. haven't had time to meet too many people yet..

Now for the wife's thoughts. I love it being just my hubby and I. Yes I miss the kids but ... WE have had them for 22 years we have been married almost 25 years.

We are still young enough to have fun and do on occasion.
We are living our 20's in our 40's with all the added benifit of knowing each other through thick and thin.
