What does it mean when someone thousands of miles away flirts?

Are they just showing sympathy with my profile or ideas? Do they plan to fly to So. Cal?

Why show interest when nothing is going to happen? What is your explanation?

 IMHO if the person had Gold and was able to read your profile, I would simply take it as a sign of"like" and nothing serious. If they are non-gold and gave up points to flirt, I would still take as non serious and complimentary You ought to be female on here and see where our flirts come from
