No new travel ban

No new travel ban Trump was supposed to issue a new improved travel ban last week or the week before. Nothing issued. Apparently Iraq was removed from the ban as they are busy fighting ISIS and were about to ban the US advisors helping to retake Mosul. The delay is undermining the claim that there is great urgency to keep the bad dudes out of the US by a ban. At this point Trump is doomed. A slimmed down ban will probably get enjoined by a number of Federal Judges around the country. Another loss would hurt the image of Trump the winner. A two time loser loses prestige. Trump should declare victory and regroup. He can say we decided to refocus on extreme vetting for key places with radical extremist groups. Then make it harder to get visas for US travel from Muslim countries. Hidden religious profiling is much harder to track and prove. Foreign applicants for visas will find it hard to get standing in US courts. The travel ban appears to be toast.... |

Trump will issue a new travel ban, but it will be toast soon... The same courts will enjoin the slimmed down version, I predict.
