Teenagers

are a challenge and a delight. But when they grow up and leave for their own household you forget all the extra stress and activity you no longer experience.

Especially those interesting teenagers. They drive you crazy and then you feel bad for being crazy. They also have some good moments of achievement, which are memorable and rewarding...

My conclusion is that positive reinforcement, also known as bribes, works better than negative feedback. Arguing, yelling, hitting, threats, all seem to only backfire.

Instead I try to find out what they desire and offer that for good behavior. Like offerring a trip to see the LA Dodger game for a month of good studies, or a video game for an "A" in geometry... Works better than getting stressed out and losing control...
