Conservative hypocrites

The hypocrisy of the repubs is so sickening. If avoiding government spending and fiscal conservatism was so important, then why didn't they oppose the Bush W. tax cuts and spending increases for eight long years? When the country was doing well we could have saved some money for the recession that was inevitable. See the Bible for the seven fat years followed by seven lean years.

Hoover looks good compared to this bunch. At least Hoover started to get into stimulus at the end of his term... FDR also made the mistake of trying to balance the budget in 1936 and 1937, until WWII was on the horizon requiring deficit spending.
