 YMMV but I think you're way too young for one. Most of the guys I have seen use them are 40+. I can't imagine why a fellow your age would need one.

 I was just curious about them and was thinking of using it while with my gf. I've heard they can help keep an erection harder and possibly hold off cumming too soon. I've never had problems with cumming too soon.

You want to be careful about the diameter and such. As the ring gets tighter, the effects change. From a loose fitting ring, you will enjoy the tactile sensation of the ring surrounding your cock. A slightly tighter ring provides more sensory pleasure.

But as a ring gets tighter, the first unpleasantness is that the urethra is pinched, preventing ejaculation during orgasm. This can be painful especially if you cum in large powerful squirts. The pressure can cause a great deal of pain during orgasm. Additionally, the ring will capture blood into the penis, which will have the effect of producing a slightly larger, very much harder erection which can also be a bit painful if taken too far. It will keep you harder longer, but...

Worst case scenario is that the ring is too tight and the blood in the penis becomes trapped and cannot drain back into the body causing a permanent purple painful hard-on that may require an embarrassing trip to the emergency room to cut the ring. You risk priapism, blood clots and stroke or even death if this condition is allowed to continue too long untreated.

Also, be aware that a penis that is artificially force to stay hard even though your body has sent the 'retract' signal, isn't all that much fun to play with. It feels weird and you wont be able to cum.

Also to take note, if you chose a ring that is pretty tight, the penis throbs during orgasm as the muscled pulse and as such, the blood pressure that is making your cock hard also pulses.
