Another Great Night.

Chicago. St. Patrick's Weekend. 2014.

First, some background. Technically, this was our third "lifestyle" event. The first was extremely interesting. We had found a nice group of folks online who seemed down to earth and well organized. They threw a party at a hotel up north and we signed up.

It was a clear, cool night north of Chicago and the sounds and smells of the executive (read: small) airport situated next to the hotel created a film noir feeling that perfectly framed the preposterousness of what we were doing. We got out of the car and walked, not fast and not slow, through the Hollywood-like haze toward the long, low front of the hotel complex.

I could feel us both shaking from nervousness. So, we headed to the empty bar in a different part of the hotel before going to the main party for a cocktail. It was a good decision.

We entered the front of the smallish reception hall and came to a table staffed by a cute, smiling, larger woman....
