Tack Strips

Tack strips that hold carpet in place do not mix well with bare feet!!!

My poor lil feet!

The changes to the house are coming along nicely. I finished laying tile in my new office and I will start painting tomorrow.

I know I should have painted before laying the tile. But at first, I was not going to paint that room at all. As I was buying the black paint for my daughters room, I thought I better paint my office, since there have been three living in that room at different times in the past four years since it was painted last.

My new stove is wonderful! I made taquitos yesterday and fed 11 people. What a chore, it took HOURS to roll all those little taquitos. The first thing I cooked on it was the messiest thing I could have cooked.

Life seems to be getting better, but it helps that I don't have time to think! This is an exciting new change. I can't wait till it's done!

Redecorating is fun; it can also be painful...

Hope you get done quickly, then sit and envoy it!...

Ouch! I learned that lesson about the tack strips earlier this year. No bare feet for me around tack strips.

You wouldn't consider hiring yourself out to work on my place when you're done with yours, would you? I like how fast you work.

wyvernrose, I have not been able to afford to do this until recently. I can't wait till it's done. Hopefully, you will be able to redo your home soon!

keithcancook, it feels good to be able to blog about happy things. For too long I have been stressed over the hand I have been dealt lately.

jtb39, I bought cheap sandles today just so I won't have anymore holes in my feet.

toothysmile, it is painful. I noticed tonight when I started painting that I was using muscles I have not used in awhile. Soon I adjusted, but think that I might be a tad sore tomorrow.

PillsburyCodeBoy, I didn't think it was moving along that fast, I have been working every day since last Saturday and have only one room completed. I'll take the better part of tomorrow laying tile in my daughters bedroom.

What do you want done to your place?

Maybe it seems to me like you're working fast because I'm not doing the work.

Oh, gosh, what doesn't need doing around my house? For one thing, all the rooms need painting. Again. It seems like we just did them a few years ago. Having kids and pets will do that to a place.

PillsburyCodeBoy, I really really really hate to paint, but I'd consider it.
