The Moving Train
The Moving Train With certain men all it takes is a look for the ache to start They can make a woman wet instantly instantly You just can't help it – Vibrations hum along your spine like the coils of copper the electricity of chemistry, these new ideas and the rhythm of a Hansom cab steam from his eyes burnt my tongue, settling in like coal smoke thick as Dover chalk and right away I know I'll soon be tearing down the buttons of my boots, getting the important in aspects of anatomy exposed immediately without delay or concern for inconsequential niceties like who or why or when, Madam? I was on the train Speeding past Surrey bound for London and the moment he slid the door open to share my compartment both of us understood Our eyes met only briefly but it was long enough to acknowledge the mutual hunger that blazed “First class?” He inquired of me, in a proper accent, with a clear-eyed glance that melted my legs they yielded to uncross and obey him, to straddle him and wrap his lean bones I was already feeling his tongue and the meat of haunches running its way slowly upwards along the curve of my thick stockings, the catch of my stays my quivering thigh inching towards my Irish linen bloomers with their lace edges, their satin bows ...creamy white The hand embroidery delicately protecting the careful artwork around my quim, these had cost my husband a fortune But as he leaned closer towards me I would have given everything everything I owned for his strong hard fingers to yank them down around my ankles shred them and fling them from the window of the moving train A whipping trail of domestic transgressions far far from my husband's scratchy eyed-glare the bell-jars and the robin's eggs marbles from Italy and a custard Cook has cooling on the window ledge the crocheted and fringed world of everything and then his companion arriving, jovially stating “Holmes, our compartment is next door.” ------------ Painting: 'The Travelling Companions', Augustus Egg, Birmingham Museums & Art Gallery circa 1950s |

What palpable momentum. I could feel the glare. Nice communication.. projection... thanks... Great: vocabulary and abs. (on you, sir) XOXO Please come back, often. Sorry for the delay in responding, some weeks I am so exhausted I can't really deal with writing - even when it's polite to have done so. MT

I appreciate the recommendation. I just downloaded season 1 on itunes. I'm enjoying it so far, though I do have to say, JB's still got my vote as fav. And Guy Ritche - eh. I appreciated that they had him be physically proficient. That was the one thing missing in Jeremy Brett's interpretation - he was consistently a bit off in his physical altercations and didn't look at all comfortable, though Holmes by the literature was well trained. Anyway, again, thank you. I can't recommend enough the new (newish?) Masterpiece series "Sherlock." To me, watching these, this past fall, was like watching a porno. At times, even I will agree I am an odd woman. Thanks for your "demonness" ! great remark! MT I have heard good things about the series, actually. I'm afraid that my old-schoolness would make it difficult. I literally grew up on Jeremy Brent's masterful portrayal in the BBC series. And THAT, to me, is like porn - I get it. Though on your recommendation, which I esteem, I'll look into it. Beautiful, just beautiful, and although I love everything you write this tickles my mind and libido in a very peculiar and intense way. "First class?" He inquired of me, in a proper accent -- I love it! I also love that you've made Mr. Holmes sexual -- how delicious . . . MT

lol. demoness! Sullying Holmes with your eroticism! Just kidding. Though I grew up on those stories. Had the complete anthology before I was a teen. I read and reread them. I literally grew up on them - he was one of a handful of models I aimed for. I remember his response to a disbelieving Watson who had just told him that the sun didn't revolve around the earth: "I will do my best to forget it. I consider the mind to be as an attic, Watson, and I do not wish to clutter that space with unimportant trivialities irrelevant to the performance of my art." Holmes was said to be a charasmatic man (on occasion or when it suited him), somewhat striking, tall, angular features. I could see this happening. And I really liked your writing, MT. Not just the theme, but the content and presentation of that moment was characteristically textured beautifully. Glad I got to the end for the casual reveal. Thanks for your "demonness" ! great remark! MT

I am very attracted to the two characters I have written about so far: Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights, and Sherlock Holmes. I think desire is *real* - or any emotion - the audience feels the sincerity of it, when encountering a work of art. MT Bon appetit!

I'm at a loss to express how much that passage arouses me.. I wish I could read it aloud to you, whist we were traveling first class together on The Orient Express. MT
