Greek Mythology; This Week: The Hydra..... The Greek demi-god and hero, Hercules had to face this monstrous beast in the Lernaean swamps as one of his labours of penance as set for him by King Eurystheus. According to the legend, for every head Hercules cut off this terrifying creature, another two grew back in its place. Truly a daunting task therefore and to display just how monstrous this being was, I happen to have a picture of it..... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
