Does the future of the world depend upon artistic creativity? I feel that it does, to an extent. For the most part, Art and Music mirror life, life doesn't mirror art and music. To a small extent some people are influenced to mirror artistic creativity. What came first, pictographs, rock art of herds and beasts or the herds and beasts? The early blues masters or the life they wrote of? Ghetto or Ghettos? Even the Woodstock generation, where came from the 300,000-500,000 who attended? They excisted first and enabled Woodstock to happen. Woodstock didn't enable them. Of course, imitation is the greatest form of flattery and people flock to the "hip" scene. And modern day "Madison Avenue" have turned this upside down now. All cartoons and movies, sports are giant infomercials now. The junk and toys and clothes come out before the product. They are the "product". The majority of all songs ever recorded are love songs, but I don't see the influence of everyone loving each other and getting along. I think most love songs are directed toward one person loving another, rather than people loving life and loving each other in general. People will NEVER be perfect but I like the 'feel' that inspirational music can evoke. I think the creativity is true. Thinking outside the box. Take the lawnmower, it was invented because somebody was tired (Lazy) of cutting with a blade by hand. Laziness, or an easier life, exsistance, survival promote invention and creativity. |
