 I know little about BDSM but would imagine the pleasure derived does not include malice, cultural male/ female stereotyping and expression of frustration whose origins the subject party has little to do with. Domestic violence is actually hatred disguised as responsibility; BDSM is a sexual lifestyle, mutually consented. They are not interchangeable

 I think it might be a bit too far-fetched to compare BDSM with domestic violence, even though both employ some form of aggression.
