What a race.

What a race.  As some of you might know, Ol Tazzerman invited one of my long time blogger friends from here to join me for the 100th anniversary Indy 500. Well she came, we saw AND we conquered! LOL Of course, ol Tazzerman being well... Ol Tazzerman, I couldn't very well invite a good friend to go the race with me without us doing it up first class and of course, at the Indy 500, that means being in a suite. So I called in some favors, put the word out and got us into one of the Tower Terrace suites. Free food, free booze, private bathroom, air-conditioning, close-circuit TV, trophy wifes with 6 foot long legs and seats above the main straight overlooking ALL of the unwashed masses!  The day was awesome, perfect weather, the crowds... bigger than they have been in years and the race itself was very very good including the finish where the rookie forgot the CARDINAL RULE of driving on the Indy Motor Speedway: never EVER turn RIGHT! The rookie comes around the 4th turn, he's got the 500 WON! He can TASTE the buttermilk already for sure. The crowd, which I will estimate at somewhere approaching 400,000 are ALL on their feet, clapping, screaming and urging him on to victory. Then it happens.. He moves over to the RIGHT to avoid a slower car making its way into the pit and BAM! Right into the wall he goes. Over, stick a knife into my friends, it's done! Dan Wheldon, who BTW ran a fantastic race, cruises to victory as poor Mr. Hildebrand slowly slides alllllll the way down the main straight to a 5th place finish. Ahhh such is INDY! It's just chock FULL of surprise not the least of which is shown in the picture above. That's my blogging friend with Patrick Dempsey who just happened to be in our suite! Now Ol Tazzerman is NOT one to 'suffer' celebs very well and quite frankly, I couldn't have picked him out in a police line-up BUT I can tell you this my Affairlook friends, there wasn't a dry pair of panties in the place INCLUDING my friends! Man, if I could just BOTTLE whatever that mojo is.... LOL (Yes, I obscured her face. Ol Tazzerman IS discrete after all eh?) It was a perfect day.. Just perfect -tmp.s. For the record, my blogger friend has the sexiest little feet around  |
