My Story Part 1

Walking down the hallways escorted by military security, my whole family was selected, interviewed and accepted to be apart of a national Top Secret project. This project would change our lives forever. The halls of this undisclosed location, (even to us) was filled with darkness and gloom. I was only thirteen years old at the time and I felt the dampness and cold of the corridors we were to enter.

The government actually made us disappear from our social settings near Seattle. My parents were in the military and we were home schooled, pretty much isolated from the general sector. I was informed that we were going on a special journey and would not be coming back to the Pacific Northwest any time soon. Which was fine with me, it rained a lot in Seattle and as we were growing up we really never had any close friends to speak of. This was sure an unusual place though. There were no windows in this building, as we arrived in a bus that had no windows either. The lighting was dim and all you could hear was our footsteps on the polished concrete floors. We flew in a military cargo plane to this destination. The funny thing is, so did the bus, and we were in the bus. It seemed a little odd being in a bus that was in a military cargo plane. It must have taken us about ten hours between the flight and the bus ride to arrive at this coordinate of unknown destination.

As we turned a corner in the corridors we were stopped by what looked like an elevator door, which was a dull gray with red trim along the edges, with thick slanted yellow stripes reaching across the mid section of this huge heavy door with a black drop shadow. Big rivets were incasing and protruding from the lines of this door. I noticed the door on this elevator looked a little unusual to me. Instead of opening in the middle vertical and sliding from side to side, it opened horizontally opening like a mouth of a ratfish. It looked really different and the doors were thicker than any door I have ever seen. We walked into the elevator, which was circular inside, with capsules going around the interior. Never seen a round elevator before. We were all inside and the military security would only talk to us when they wanted us to know something. “Very unfriendly surroundings” I thought. Within the soldier’s belt were controls to activate the functions they desired. The Military Security Transportation Crew strapped us into individual capsules that reminded me of the glass on top of a fighter jet. I thought, “yea’ this is going to be one hell of a ride.” I guess I started to feel some of the excitement that this journey was about to bring. So many different things, going on at once, it was hard keeping everything in a proper sequence in my mind. I don’t want to be overly nervous about this adventure/expedition. I was hoping my parents knew all of these answers that I would probably be asking later. Even my older sister was waiting patiently with the excitement that was ahead. Now that is a first! There was no conversation at all for a few minutes. I was wondering if I was the only one here that had not been briefed, as I felt I was the only one that had no damn clue of what we were doing here. No one else seemed to care and accepted the circumstances. As long as my mom and dad were with me, I felt safe.

In just a matter of a few seconds going by, this device, elevator, tube or whatever it was, started humming a low decibel hum and then, I felt my stomach hit my knees, felt a little faint, to say the least. Much more of this motion and my dinner would be dripping off the walls. This thing moved pretty fast, no wonder we were in a capsule. We seemed to have traveled a great distance in a very short amount of time. We were in “Deep Earth” or at least this is what I called it. Everything down here looked real heavy-duty. I still wonder how far down we really were. A hundred stories maybe more? Not exactly my first choice for a vacation or anything, but then again I have only been here for three minutes.

As we finally slowed down and reached the bottom, we were un-strapped and released to only find our legs and knees nervously shaken. As we were catching our breath a bobsled looking vehicle pulls up right in front of us with no driver! We were than asked to take a seat in what was referred to as the “Buck Board”. I figured this was going to take us to our next destination, probably our chambers I suspected. At first I hadn’t noticed, but the Buck Board did not have any wheels or anything that it should be resting on. It was six inches or so off the surface of the concrete/steel floor and was basically hovering down the corridor. I believe Magnetic Electro Energy was conducting a current coming from within the floor, charging the magnetic fields, adjusting the polarity.

It looked really cool watching the reflection on the polished steel walls while hovering fast and smooth through these vast and depthy corridors. Everything down here seemed so clinical. Everything was very organized and seemed to have its place, yet nothing was really there. Maybe it was busier at other times, but you really felt alone down here for the first time. We finally hovered to a soft gentle stop. This was to be our final destination since yesterday.

As we entered our individual chambers we each found an entertainment system, nice sleeping area and what we needed to be comfortable. We each had a little spot that was like an eating center that had these little packets, like crayons. They were labeled on the outside for what the meal was. It made me laugh, because there was this cartoon series on television about a family that lived in the future and they had these little things they put in a small electronic oven, when the meal was ready, (which was in seconds) there would be a full dinner on the plate. Just like the cartoon. It was called “The Jetson’s”, I remember now. There were so many things, just in my quarters that I have never seen before! So, this was really turning out better, than a “Real George” at 12.34 in the morning commonly known as “Boggs Time.” I could only wait to see what was around the next corner of joy. I knew we had to get serious at some point. I just started to lean towards the positive side of things since I saw no direct threat to anyone. It was a little unusual seeing all these new things, but better than most places I remembered lately. Wasn’t feeling bored in any way and it wasn’t raining. For some reason, I started to accept the idea and was finally having some fun with my new surroundings. I was only thirteen years old at the time, but it was becoming much more fun while I was being subjected to it. I really knew I wasn’t in Kansas any more. It had been a busy day for me and we were informed that we were to settle our selves down and take a breather and become comfortable. I was getting pretty tired from the trip and the hours were staking up on me.

The chambers were circular, and connected to a larger circular hub in the middle. Since it was so far underground everything was either a tube like structure or a cylinder. The curvature design was much stronger under such pressure.

We all departed each other’s company and proceeded to go to our separate quarters. It wasn’t long for me to get comfortable. The next thing I knew I was completely out, and felt pretty good when I awoke.

I must have worked up an appetite from the day before. My first stop was to the “Jetson’s” kitchen. I threw a couple of those, “what I call “crayons”, into this thing no bigger then a toaster oven and pushed a button. I can still remember the smell, and how good it tasted. Thought to myself, “this is too easy to be this good”.

About this time my door slid into the wall, and then my sister came in to tell me how cool her room was. We thought it was really neat and the day started off on the right foot for a change.

The next thing I knew three men came into our chambers and politely asked how we were doing and that we were going to be briefed in the next forty-five minutes or so. They also showed us a device mounted near the opening that looked like a small screen television. He explained to us how it worked and that they would transmit audio and or informational messages. Which would lend us instructions, giving us a timetable for transport. It was an informational center that was used through out this underground facility.

By now they had replaced our clothing with a uniform somewhat like what the soldiers were wearing without the weapons of course. Everything seemed so odd and so new to all of us. It was becoming a journey, like feeling complete truth for the first time. The material substance of the cloth was really different and strange. Not like any material I have ever seen before. It was like a silky thin material that seemed to be tailored to fit really tight and felt like a protective garment at the same time. It gave a sense of confidants and was a welcomed feeling while wearing our mandatory clothing.

I was pretty smart for a my age. I had already skipped a number of grades, and was somewhat of an intellect. I knew and understood situations that other or friends did not. I have always had an eye for detail and total memory recall.
