NINE-ELEVEN TEN YEARS OF WAR AND FOUR TRILLION DOLLARS The mission of Osama Bin Laden was to bring down the United States, AND the Western Christian world economically. That's why the World Trade Center was attacked. It was only by Osama's good luck, and OUR extremely bad luck that the TOWERS collapsed. In another universe, the towers would have been badly damaged on the upper stories and have by now been repaired. FOUR TRILLION DOLLARS! Add to our BANKRUPTCY the death of thousands of young fighting men, probably another hundred THOUSAND plus, of badly INJURED young men, and the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians in the Middle East. It seems to THIS old man, that the radical muslim nutcases have WON this war. Our compound is located in the vicinity of the largest U.S. Marine Corps base in the world. Marisol and I have military friends who've served and fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some of these men and women are very bitter and very outspoken. They're not afraid to voice their opinions. "What we should have done," one combat marine said to a group of us quietly drinking coffee early one cool summer morning, "was to tell the Jews to get the fuck out of that little sliver of crap land called Isreal.... given them a week to vacate, and then dropped about five hydrogen bombs on the whole fucking Arab Shithole." M. and I didn't say anything to this very brutal, simplistic solution to a very convoluted world problem. Nine-Eleven changed everything in our world. Osama Bin Laden will go down in history as the man who brought down the empire of the the United States of America and it's Western allies. Don't worry about always honestly expressing your views, sweet Charmaine. We have debates going on here all the time with visitors and even between M. and me. (I'm usually odd man out, ha, ha!)... I enjoy stirring the pot with some weird ideas... I seldom ever think of anything the way most normal people do... LOL.. You'll always be my blog friend, so don't worry about disagreeing with me about things. Disagreement is sometimes a wonderful way to anchor a friendship and make it even more fulfilling...xxxxdavid

When I write posts like this one, I always end up losing readers of my blog.. Oh well. I'm too old to pull my punches, and I really dislike being a hypocrite. This is really the way I feel about this situation. xxxxdavid
