The female epic fail and time for a break

I read a blog today about a guy who sends emails that are effectively cut and paste jobs. The poor moron even admits that he has done this, so he deserved the payout the blogger gave him (although I thought it got a bit pompous - we all know the shenanigans that go on on this site). The guy was given an "epic fail" for his attempt. Again, fair enough, but the tone of some of the replies from men about this was almost as bad, and, frankly, bordered on the sychophantic with undertones of "if I make enough soothing noises about this she might fuck me instead".

Men, where is your dignity? The fuckwit that cuts and pastes his approaches is an idiot. The man that writes "wanna fuck" is beyond help. But it seems to me that, on occasion, the man who is polite but has failed to become a cyber mind-reader inside two sentences is lumped in with the aforementioned knuckle draggers.

I had the following exchange yesterday: I paged a local woman on here and said: "I enjoyed your cam the other day."

She responded (much to my delight that she bothered at all): "Thank you. I'm glad x"

Me: "My pleasure. You have a lovely body. Thanks for sharing."

Her: "That's ok."

Me: "Tell me what you're looking for (fair question as I'm a standard member).

Her: "To be entertained in any and all ways."

Me: "Fair enough. Tell me more."

Now everyone knows that the instant messenger on this site is shit, as she had left the chatroom a couple of times without saying anything and confirmed that it was playing up. But then she said: "sorry, not picking up messages."

Me: "That's ok, annoying message system. How can I entertain you today."

XXXX has left the chatroom.

I paged again: "Have we crashed?" No answer. I rebooted, tried again. "XXXX has received your page but has not yet responded" Then they were't available. I tried again and got: "your message has been declined".

Ok, I can take a hint, but this kind of obtuse behaviour can get under your skin. I fired back a simple "rude" and shut down. I was angry and felt I had a right to be. I'm not abusive, I don't lash out and I move on pretty quick. The anger is more centered on the fact that I actually didn't do much wrong there and a simple "thanks but no thanks" would have sufficed.

So - xxxgal - you are an EPIC FAIL.

In the intervening hours I've started to wonder whether I should just not bother looking on here. It's too much hard work just to get a response from someone in the fist instance and I'm kinda enjoying reading the blogs (well most of them bar a couple) I do follow more than the other stuff. Even basic contact like the one in the London chatroom I have described on here can get fraught.

Let's face it, there's rude behavior by both men and women here. There's just so many more men, we tend to hear about it more!

Happy new year to you - all the best in 2011

That's a fair point. I wonder what will happen if I blog about these things as they happen. Will it redress the balance?

Thanks for the kind message - happy new year to you to and I hope it brings you all you want xx

I'm not excusing rudeness, but I think the thudding hammer blows of repetitive "wanna fuk" emails wear women out a little. It takes some real effort sometimes to differentiate between cretins and direct men - and a kind of willingness to adore men in general, regardless of the behavior of some of their compatriots - and to stay kind and polite.

And, frankly, some women aren't up to the job, because fuckwittery knows no gender barriers.
