One Special Wish
Remember when you were a and you'd get to break the wishbone? And if you got the long piece....your wish would come true? There were five of us grandkids in my family vying for the wishbone. Today, I have no clue what criteria my grandmother used to decide which two of us got to try to break the wishbone. I just remember that she was always fair about it. And I remember that she believed in allowing to have the "magic" of wishing in their life. It's a part of being able to dream. And dreams are often the beginning of change. Wandering through the blogs today has left me feeling kind of melancholy. I'm a "fixer"...and there are alot of things here I'd love to "fix" for people.
I've seen your smile.
I've dried your tears.
I've listened to your heartaches.
And I've shared with you my fears.
Somehow I want to touch you.
The way you've all touched me.
I want to feel your heart beat.
I love you, can't you see?
So, today.....I'd like to grant you a wish. You can only have one this time. Everyone has a wish in their life....I know that I do. So, stop, and think.
If I could grant you one wish today......what would it be?

Dearest Angel
Last week was indeed a very emotional week here in Blogland... in some ways I feel at least somewhat responsible for that.. with my various rants over the past couple months about abuse and all... I truly hope and pray it has also been a healing week.. which leads me to.....
Here is my ONE wish
For healing and happiness to all those here in Blogland and around the world whom have been vicitimized and abused in any form! I know if this one wish could be granted it would go a long way towrad making this world a better place for us all.....

Fantasylover...sometimes the first step in healing is being able to admit that you need it. So, I think that some of the rants, and opening of raw wounds is just that....healing. Your wish doesn't surprise me my friend....as it is for others! I too would like this wish granted....so, hold my hand....close your eyes real tight...and envision your wish coming true! |

MysteryDreamer.....my sweet friend...this is a wish that I was afraid my own daughters would be wishing this Mother's day as I was not sure I was going to live through my surgery. Needless to say, I'm very grateful that I am here. I will hold your hand, and feel your pain....and wish for you that the memory of your mother never leaves your heart...but begins once again to bring you great joy in remembering. |

That everyone would make the effort to try and be nice and kind to everyone else for at least 24 hours...and see how they like being a source of positive energy and how that might heal them.

Most of my prayers/wishes are just now coming true. They are just taking their time about it.
If however this is a brand new wish, I would wish that all of my friends that vist the Blogs will have a Long and Truly Loving Partner with no pains, hurts, or jealousies from anyone.

Pleasure...I'm feeling stronger each day and less tired too! Yours was a wonderful wish. I am shocked when I see the statistics as to how many children in our own country go hungry....we are too often guilty of thinking these things only happen in other countries! My wish is one that neither a Genie in a bottle, nor an angelofmercy is able to grant, no matter how hard they could or in your case WOULD try. So I would like to pass my wish on to another. Someone more deserving, more worthy, someone who needs it more than I.

Wow! Angel,
That is a beautiful, but somewhat saddening post. You feel a little hurt by so much sadness and pain around you. You want to share your heart with others.
I think the WISH idea is great! I never saw anyone else ask about fulfilling someone else's wish. And I have lots of wishes.
My one wish is this: to have a beautiful, caring, sexy, loving, faithful girlfriend.
This is what I am searching for most of all. I want friends, yes. But, I have many of those. And I want more of course. But, a girlfriend? I do not have one. Never did. I thought I did once a month ago. But that was a lie.
I want a woman who will love me for who I am, give me love, care, and empathy every day, and will want no one else after finding me. I will give of myself completely and without question. She will have my heart and soul. I will love her every day (and tell her this every day). I will never abandon her or leave her for another woman. She doesn't need to be physically beautiful or even attractive, but it she has inner beauty, then that is what I want. I desire that over all else.
Well, that is all I have to say.
Thank you Angel for asking such a beautiful question and opening up your heart to me. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I thank you so much for being in my heart.

My wish would be for my son. He just joined the Army, but is being discharged because of his hearing. He will be able to re-enlist in 6 months. My wish, although impossible to come true, is that his hearing would improve. He is completely devastated over this.
